Interesting concept. The idea is good and the gameplay is unique and fun. The art is also nice. However, sometimes the game is unfair. For example, when a car charges straight at you and you cant avoid it. Also what the game is scoring is a bit unclear. Good job on not giving up during the jam.
I really like the concept - I think it has a lot of potentially. Sadly, in its current form I didn't find all that entertaining. One suggestion that I think would greatly improvement the game is if the player can cause cars swerve by sliding them, including the main car - this feature may suit touch screen platforms more than desktop.
Funny concept and nice graphics :D some of the obstacles are just hard to avoid though e.g. the train. Scoring isn't very clear and the looping music can be a bit grating.
About the music (I am the one that did it and I'm looking for feedback) what do you mean by grating?
I think its mainly because its just a single instrument playing that makes it a little harsh sounding when it goes silent and starts playing - as opposed to having multiple instruments layering it with percussion to make it fuller sounding.
I did find the music a little dull and repeative - it's not terrible but definately could be improved. I'd suggest adding more instruments - adding a bass line and percussion would make a big difference. Also consider extending the song the song with an additional section - most classic video game music has an intro followed by two or three distinguishable sections that repeat. Not that a game's music has to follow past conventions, but a bit of variety can help make an ok song sound great.
There was also a very noticable gap in the melody where it repeats. Ideally, it should not be too noticable when a song loops. A constant bass and percussion line would help with hiding the 'seams'.
Art is brilliant but Jesus cant drive! lol :)
Art looks great, but I felt like there's not enough visual nor audial feedback on interaction to make the game feel satisfying. The concept does have a lot of of potential!
Love the art style, and the way the car is damage.
the game is so hard but the art is very good
Had a lot of fun! Loved the art and the presentation!
great game! had a lot of fun, but usually didnt get far, because there was very little time to react to other drivers coming up in front of you. but i really enjoyed playing it!! it was probably one of the games i played the most tries, before looking at the next game and it was so much fun! (even though i sucked at it :D)
i like the art and concept, didnt quite understand the game mechanics
I enjoyed this one, but perhaps zooming the view out a bit would be helpful.
This is a great idea! It would be great if the player could see a bit more, so they can anticipate the cars/cones coming.
It'd be nice if the camera was just a liiiittle zoomed out more. I ended up just hovering my mouse above the driver and doing nothing but clicking, although stopping a car rushing towards the driver doesn't do much good when the driver drives into them anyway. I do like the concept, however, and it would be cool to see it be taken further. Oh, and I especially like the art!
Pretty cool game, I like how you can see the damage your car is receiving over time.
Very funny concept. I think the most fun part was moving the cones around, I would love to see more variety of obstacles! I think it's fun and has a lot of potential!
