Nice idea, but the fact that I had to control the paddle and the beetle with the same input made it a bit frustrating, although fitting to the theme. Would be more manageable if the first shot was straight up, and I didn't know why it was going the direction it did.
Thanks! That is the whole point ;) it always shoots to the middle of the screen so if you look at the eyes of the paddle then you know the direction ☺️
Oh, didn't notice that! Thanks!
Cool another Pico 8 entry! it was quite challenging but interesting mechanic, nice polish too!
Thanks AtticusFinn ☺️
Very hard but the idea is awesome.
I encounter a bug : i was carrying the ball, the tile behind me was a wall and the ball was dropped but didn't move, just stayed against the wall, with the collision sound in loop.
Thanks I know it can get stuck sometimes, already fixed in the post jam update ☺️
This is a really cool combination of genres. Super stressful trying to manage everything at once. Great job!
Thanks! Hahah yes, one thing to remember is to make sure the ball is in a safe place, then try to move the beetle where you want it to go. (Not as easy as it sounds though )
Good tip! I think I just need to work on my patience. 🙃 We'd love your feedback on our game as well, if you haven't done so already. SpaceBus
It's such an interesting concept with the beetle and ball. And your art works really well for it. Well done!

It would help a lot if you would rate my game as well, it's my first ever so would really appreciate the feedback! Thank you
Thanks! :)
Sure :)
Very fun and engaging concept. Cool visuals.
I happened to glitch the ball in some walls a couple of times though ;)
I know ;) added a button to reset the ball in the menu, did not have the time to fix it as I found it late. Does not happen a lot though. Working on a post jam update, so the bug is already fixed 😊
this is game I spent most time on till now, well presented.
Thanks aloksbd!
Amazing idea and aesthetic! I always like the concept of two games working together at the same time, and I think this way to tackle this was really creative! Great work and congratulations on doing so many levels! I hope you win and appear on the video! :D
One of my favorite games is Brothers: a tale of two sons, so I am happy to hear that :)
good game but wish there was more punishment for death
Thanks! What would you have in mind? :)
Maybe add like a time limit or a limited amount of balls you can use and then you have to restart the level /game if you lose all your lives or run out of time
Great concept and really nice polish!
Thank you!
Wow, really good game. A lot of polish in this. I appreciate that there are no lives and you just count deaths. That level of forgiveness matches the game somehow. Very good.
Thanks! I got a little inspired by Celeste, respawn fast and have checkpoints often( here is small levels) . Then I can actually keep the difficulty quite high 😊
Awesome idea! And so well polished, really a great product! I hope that you continue to develop the idea after the jam, now is a bit too difficult to play.
Thanks! I already started to work on a post game jam update , some levels will be tweaked 😊
This is a really awesome game. So unique and it feels considerably polished. I love the strategies that form around moving the paddle and the character at one. one of my favorite submissions I have played, yet.
Thanks, It feels like you play a co op game with yourself 😀 (that gave me an idea to actually add multiplayer 😮
The idea is pretty interesting, and the art and sound are nice as well. Though, in the third level the ball got glitched in a tile above a wall, because the guy dropped the ball. Why does the guy keep dropping the ball anyway? That does get a bit annoying.
Sorry for that, I will try to fix the glitches in a post jam update 😊 holding it for a limited time makes it interesting as you have to plan and hurry up a little. Might test to make a "easy mode" where you can hold it for as long as you want.
The first 5 stars on everything game i played so far. Its a great game and really well executed. Would love to see more of your games.
wow thank you for that lovely feedback! Yours as well! There is a lot of games by me on my itch.io page, I am particularly proud of Cards with Personalities 😊
Already following and sharing with my colleagues. In love with the mood of your games.
Aww that is so nice of you 😊
Card with personalities is great! I just wish it was longer. Still have to take a look on your other games :) Also, wish you luck with Pongeon, its great too, and fits the theme really well!
Did you already defeat all the bosses? 😮 Great job! Thanks, I will do it with yours too!
Yep. I wanted to test all cards too, but I dont remember if I managed to do that. I think I missed maybe 2. It felt great when you got that big strong cards.
Refined game, it feels incredibly polished - kudos! The amazing sound design and art assets lend themselves to a tight, focused gameplay loop that fits the jam theme. The first level took me the longest to complete (I made it ~7 levels in), the wall destroy mechanic could be a bit clearer! Had one bug where the ball got stuck in a wall but there was a menu option to reset the ball, awesome!
Overall, very impressed with the level design and gameplay. Keep killing it! (PS. the name is awesome)
Thanks! Great job, hope that you want to play it again after the post jam update. I agree, I will have indicators when you are close to something that can be interactive with. Also will try to put the player in a room with a normal door, then it might be more clear 😊 yes saw that some time in the testing phase, great that it could be used as a quick fix! My girlfriend is very happy now, she is the one that comes up with great names!
Pretty hard, but the idea looks very refined. So many interactions between mechanics!
Thanks, I agree that some levels are a little difficult, will polish the game in a post jam update 😊
One of the best games I have played in this jam! Really clever idea :)
Thank you so much 😊
Very cool looking game. A little awkward at first but I was able to work out how to get through the levels in the end. Maybe your guy should have a tiny pickaxe to show he can break through walls!
thanks! Yes some indication is needed that you can destroy stuff, but it's also fun figure out some stuff on you own so I will try to do something small 😊
I'll be honest, I didn't understand how to pass the first stage! But I LOVED the idea of your game! I've never seen anything like it! Super creative!
(Please tell me how to get through the first stage so I can keep playing! Hahaha)
First you have to break down the doors with your player and then take the ball down the stairs with you :)
You can do it, !ask me if you get stuck again and I will help you :)
Edit: Added some Goal explanation and a GIF to the game description if you still have problems
