How does your game fit the theme?
This is an RPG where the numbers and setting escalate completely out of control, and you can use your basic stealing power to steal absolutely anything, even metaphysical concepts.

I got up to Political life before I decided I had to stop so I could play other games :P
Fun stuff!
Nice one !!!
I like the color palette choice for this game. The RNG is a bit "feast or famine" with certain attacks hitting constantly or hardly at all. Pixel art is pretty good too. Not bad for only having a limited amount of time to work on this. Good luck guys!
Finally finished it. Was the final zone basically just "get lucky a few times in a row to win"?
yes
Amazing entry! I've never seen a duel between a door and a printer... :D
Neat RPG. The steal mechanic is doesn't really fit the the theme(then again, all rpg protagonists are kleptomaniacs out of control so maybe it does). The abilities do get broken though.
I think it'd work better if the abilities had use limits and the steal was usaable in battle as well. IIRC Disgaea let you steal enemies stats when you fight them. Perhaps you can make it so that the abilities can be used finite amount of times after getting them and you need to constantly steal to replenish your moves.
Art is gorgeous and you have a lot of content for a gamejam RPG.
Really good job!
The theme part is where the abilities get broken :)
Also, I will do another update that will make the game LESS grindy. I feel like limiting the number of times an ability can be used will needlessly penalize the player for finding broken combos, when the whole point of the game is to find broken combos :p
incredible! super fun! loved how the abilities got more and more broken!
mdr super concept, beaucoup d'humour, génial :)
merci d'avoir joué :)
Never thought there'd come a day when I'd say "ack, the sun killed me again". Fantastic game 5/5
I LOVED IT Like, really. I finished it. Took me long enough, but it’s done. You did a fantastic job !
congrats on reaching the end :)
Very well executed, loved firing the printer and my manager
Very fun, probably my favourite game so far. With a bit more polish I could easily see this becoming a full game!
I'll work on a post-jam version to add some quality of life features :)
Really cool! Skill power progresses pretty quickly and is really rewarding (audit for that early carry!), the mechanic makes each new enemy feel really exciting too, loved it.
thanks for playing :)
A really good game, the music is a bit monotonous in the long run and the camera twists a little too much in the direction of view, but in itself the game is really a lot of fun, good work!
Really loved the skill stealing mechanic!
Really entertaining game. Wanted to see what came next but after going outside every single enemy could easily kill me. The only way I can see to progress is through RNG.
you can try killing weak enemies first like the manhole and steal their strong attacks :)
Interesting. This was quite weird. Only got through a few levels because the battles became pretty tedious quickly, and the camera movements were disorienting. I still don't get how you get different abilities, every time I took an identity it only changed my look, not my abilities, but I probably just missed something.
Anyways, this is quite original and has great art, so I still gave it a pretty high rating.
You actually need to click an ability to steal it :)
oh.
I loved the game, Deciding what to steal was super cool! but I did not think it was too connected to the theme... Not that it matters, I enjoyed it a lot more than some others that were related
Well.. at first I thought does this actually meet the theme, but boy, that escalation was out of control :D Amazingly inventive, I really liked the idea.
interesting idea, and very polished for the jam timeframe! nicely done. Would love to see this expanded to use more rpg-esque systems (elemental weaknesses come to mind)
