This was the only game I played that used the suggested idea of a vehicle "without brakes" from the theme announcement video, and I think this was a pretty good execution on it. Nicely done.
Simple idea, nice execution!
That was quite fun, the presentation was particularly good. Once I got the hang of the driving though, I thought there could be some more mechanics. Maybe you could get points for destroying trucks, and have the turbo metre give temporary invincibility. The first time I rammed a truck it was pretty cool, and I found myself wanting a reason to do it again, rather than avoiding them all the time. I'm realising I've basically reinvented Pacman at this point, though XD
Really cool (although slightly annyoing) game. It's nice that you can actually control the car well, you just have to learn how. And nice choice of music.
Scored a lot of points running in circles, there's nothing much stopping us from doing that. Aside from that, it's a cute looking game, the thumbnail is great, the art and music too! Not fond of sound effects though.
Gotta say you can farm infinite points by just holding the right/left key forever on a circle motion. Besides that, the game is pretty fun! Loved the way the car moves, it feels very satisfying to make a good drift. The aesthetics are also really neat. Congratulations!
The drifting in this feels really good! Here's my best score:
I think this control scheme would do really well in a top-down open world kind of game. Good job!
thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it
I liked! It is well polished!
What did I like?
- The simulate old PCs perfectly.
- I liked drifting mechanic.
What I didn't like?
- drifting SFX is so bad. (it sounds like I am hitting the walls while, I am drifting)
Suggestions:
- Add high score. (To keep the player engaged to play more the game, and to achieve a new high score)
- Add a SFX and play it whenever the car get destroyed.
Great work guys! Keep making games, and never give up!
thanks for the feedback! we'll take it into consideration!
Really loved the art style and that you took it just that one step further by having the screen warped like it was on an old TV. It was a blast to play!
really glad you liked it
controls very tight, feels great, drifting is on point!
thanks!
I really liked the controls! I can be hard to make a control scheme for drifting feel accurate, but you did it!
Some things i wanted to mention though:
Other than that a solid game, managed to get 20000 playing the game normally.
Well done!
happy you liked it! and thanks for the feedback!
Great handling, physics feel just right imo.
glad you liked it
Music and artstyle - first class!
Good idea and execution, It lacks some power ups or something to make the game more diverse.
thanks for the feedback! we were planning on adding powerups but the time wasn't on our side
i thought so:) most important that the main mechanic is a blast!
Dig the artstyle :)
I got to 30.000ish by doing donuts on the spot XD
A tweak in the traffic AI would probably be enough to fix that exploit, but hey it's a jam game ;)
thanks, yeah we were planning on adding cops to prevent you from doing donuts forever but the time wasn't enough
Neat! Quite fun few minutes...
glad you enjoyed it
I really liked your visuals. The gameplay fit the theme well.
thanks!
Cool art! It would have been nice to have a slider for the screen distortion, it was kind of hard for me to see exactly what was happening. Great concept that seems well made.
thanks! agree, having a slider for the screen distortion would've been great
Fun game! Really enjoyed the art style.
glad you did, our artists did a great job on the art
Very cool game! I love the visual style!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I love the art, and the drifting mechanics
Thank you so much for playing!
