I like the concept of having to jump quickly because everything is on fire, that's pretty cool. The art also looks very pretty and stylized, which is always a bonus, since you made it yourself. The thing that made this game really hard is that it was pretty hard to see where you needed to go, especially when you let the vines hang down. Other than that it's a pretty cool little entry, good job!

Totally into this concept and the art is fire emoji

This is a really cool idea! I like the frantic pace, this really feels like the start of something I would have played on an arcade machine! And of course the little ember sprite is really cute!

I just played and rated your -second!- great game! Thank you very much for watching the stream yesterday!

This one is less polished overall, also, I noticed that jumping to the side of platforms makes the character gutter. Other than that, The concept is really nice, it makes for a fast-based gameplay. The mechanic of making the player jump many times with the fading effect is brilliant. And the art is just amazing. Really good work, very entertaining game, you should keep working on it!

cute art and a great idea, it's understandably buggy.

Fun concept, I like how it naturally accelerates the challenge in the later parts of the level. Good work! Am I the baddie?

Did not instantly realize that I can jump more by tapping space, probably cause I did not know what jump like kirby means, other than that I spent a good amount of time playing since the game is really engaging and challenging  due to the platform burning mechanic, really good job and very very gorgeous art :D

Looks really good and plays well, if I had one criticism i'd say the fires feel like they spread too fast, but that just might be me being reluctant to wake up the neighbours by mashing my space bar more.

Beautiful game and a great use of the theme! Definitely has potential.

I think the art is some of the best I've seen in a jam game. Very unique style. I found the game play tedious at parts, wishing I could have checkpoints regularly, and the window was stuck to the top left corner, but maybe that's just from my computer being awful. Overall, really cool looking, but needs some checkpoints, needs some bug fixes, and more level features. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback. We probably made the game a bit too difficult to start but, the whole thing can be beaten in less than a minute and we wanted to convey that "out of control" and urgent feeling. We spent a lot of time getting the fire propagation to work with very minimal impact on the game's performance which is why there aren't as many features as we would have liked. In retrospect, had we had more time and been able to work the full two days, we would have added some easier levels and made the existing one an optional challenge at the end, but we literally got this game submiutted just in time. We submitted our "safety" version at 30 minutes remaining and were making refinements up until submission time.

As for the window being stuck at the top left, that is the first I've heard of it. I think we will continue with this concept so if you could send along a screenshot, we would appreciate it. Thanks again for playing and providing feedback. It really is useful.

I love the overall art and burning animation. Concept is very original but after some tries it was a bit frustrating to start over. I find your game great and well polished for a jam, great job!

You're probably right. It's very easy to forget that the learning curve is steeper when you aren't the one that made the game.  We'll have to keep that in mind for next time. Thanks for playing!

I genuinely had a lot of fun playing! My only real gripe is that it felt like it would take a bit too long to restart the level. Like if I messed up I had to fall all the way back down and wait for the logs on the bottom to burn.

Thanks for playing! We actually have the ability to restart using the Esc key, but I could see how that could be missed on the title screen. Going forward we'll try and place a brief tutorial in our games. Thanks again!

I suppose I should have tried that lol

Very nice!
The propagation works very well, and it renders the level very challenging.
I loved the art, good work!
Small advice: next time you do a game with a level that will restart frequently, make the music to continue after a reset.

Good work!

That is a very good point... Thanks for the advice and thank you you for playing!
