I honnestly really like your concept and the gameplay is really fun the only thing though is if you spam at the beginning and guide your ship and you lose all your charges then your out and are kinda stuck to your own fate, having the ability to somehow regenerate over time a directional inpuls,e would make the game a lot more fun :D

I'm glad you liked it! I'm planning to make it easier to regain missiles in the future.

Tanks for the feedback!

Nice Game, automatic right click guidance would by a great feature ... but nice work

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! I will make it, so it's easier to hit with the missiles in the future.

My high score was 1433!

It took me a little time to figure out how the game should be played. Once I got it I really enjoyed using shockwaves to move myself around --- just the right amount of out of control! The visuals are nice and the game feels responsive and satisfying to play. The difficulty scales nicely too.

My only criticism is with one of the game design choices --- I'm not sure that needing to pick up more ammo worked all that well for me. I never ran low on bullets, and missiles were very valuable so when you're out the game becomes much harder (and grabbing more missiles is super hard). Maybe some blue enemies could spawn that drop missiles when they're killed instead? This makes the game a bit less unique but would make things a little fairer feeling and add a bit of strategy in terms of targetting enemies. This is just a thought though! I was very impressed with the game overall, great work!

Thank you so much for the feedback! The reason for the ammo pickup system is to force the player to move by not just killing the enemy but thinking about when they should kill the enemies. However, I should make the ammo pickups more common and easier to pick up, what do you think about that?

Also, your idea about adding enemies dropping ammo is quite interesting. I could make their spawn rate dependent on how many missiles the player has (fewer missile = more "blue enemies") to make the game more engaging for players who have difficulty picking up ammo, definitely something I need to think more about.
Once again, thanks for the feedback!

I get the design choice, but I felt that the obstacles (asteroids?) made me think enough about movement so I couldn't just avoid enemies. I really liked getting close to an asteroid than blasting a missile at it to kill nearby enemies and propel myself away. This way I killed two (or more) birds with one stone and felt like I achieved something!

For the spawn rate change, I guess it would be something you would need to playtest and tweak, but it could work well! Hope the feedback was useful --- I really did enjoy the game!

Nice game! I like the look and feel of it.

Also like the engine choice. Wanted to do something with godot for some time now but never really did.

The only thing that bothered me a bit in the game was the feedback. It took some time till I understood what I had to do.

Thank you for the feedback!

If you want to get started with Godot, I strongly recommend you watch HeartBeast:s tutorial series as it is, in my opinion, the best free complete Godot tutorial out there.

Thanks for the recommendation, will look into that! :)

riding the shock-waves of your enemies feels very satisfying. Perhaps more enemy types in a future build?

Developer

I am planning to improve the AI of the existing enemy's first, when we will see if there is a need for more enemies.

very sensible

A bit tough to learn but super cool idea!
Putting a spin on the shoot to move idea by taking the direct control away (aside from the missiles) is really cool! The feedback when hitting enemies is super snappy as well.

Developer

Feedback to the player was one of the things I was focusing on when I made the game, so I'm glad you liked it! :D
