How does your game fit the theme?
When I thought of out of control I thought of how in life there are lots of things out of our control. How we end up fixating on the things we can't control rather than on what we can control.

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

Yes

We created all art during the game jam

Did your team create the audio for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

No

We used pre-existing audio

Oh, I wasn't ready to see a game like that in the jam, but I'm so glad I did! This is so refreshing and different from everything else. I would say it's truly a unique game with an interesting way of using the theme. And obviously, the art is so adorable and polished, what a great game to play. Unexpected yet pleasing. Keep it up with more works!

I loved it!!  I love working with kids and I feel like this captures how some feel about school.  Especially when they get to high school/college and their parents can't help them as much.  And the drawings were adorable!!  I'm gonna follow because I wanna see more from you! :D

I loved it! The art style was super cute, the music was fitting and lovely to listen to, and it had a great message! The only things I'd fix would be a couple text errors and make it so the ending card isn't so brief (i.e. it stays until clicked off).

Overall, great stuff - quack! :V

Developer

Thanks :D

Yeah I tried fixing that error before submission, but my program refused to acknowledge the end images haha OTL

I loved this game, it's wholesome and had me hooked from start to finish. The only think I would change is the ending so that it doesn't feel as abrupt. I can definitely see why your hand is hurting now too you produced a ton of amazing art!

Developer

I'm glad to hear that and that's fair :D

Thank you !!

Yes a visual novel!!! I didn't expect to find one here but I'm so glad :) The story was sweet but handled the idea of impostor syndrome really well. Also the "Out of Control" idea was more of an inspiration for the story instead of the game mechanics (which is a refreshing change).

Developer

Ahh yes I wanted to do a different route * _ * b

Thank you so much >w< !

Quack quack! I didn't expect the story to be that long for a jam game but that was fun.

Very cute artstyle.

Good Job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah luckily Ren'py takes care of most of the coding, or else the story would've been shorter.

Thank you!

That was a very sweet story! There was a ton of art that helped make the story less monotonous. I could totally imagine it being a comic or storybook for children, especially since Amber's experience is something a lot of students face.

It felt a little on the long side though, maybe if the dialogue was condensed or it was split into chapters that'd help? I'm glad I played through it though! Hopefully others won't pass over it just because it's not a browser game.

And that's a good idea :D

Nice hidden gem. (Using Ren'Py is kinda cheating tho lol) But the visuals are nice and the story is cute so well done :)

Developer

Haha yeah xP Ren'py does help take care of the coding aspect (tho my arm is in pain regardless)

But thank you *  w * b
