This is cool!  I like how both the enemy bullets and the player bullets share the bouncing infinitely property, so even if you limit your shots, the enemies sure won't, and things get out of control regardless.  One thing I noticed is that the game is fairly easy if the enemies aren't aggro'd on the player.  You can just shoot one shot and let it bounce around until the enemies are all dead (though I guess the timer helps to mitigate that strategy).

Keep up the good work! =)

Yeah, I see how it can get out of control... :D I've seen this concept with bouncing bullets before, in some mobile game ad, but it's a pretty cool execution. I think there's something off with collisions and character rotation, but it's not a big deal :) Good job!

Man, the minimalistic graphics and atari-esque sounds are so charming, and immediately bring to mind classic arcade games. The bright visuals also compliment the gameplay real nicely. As for the gameplay itself? It was super hard, haha! Trying to go in guns blazing made the levels near impossible with bullets going every which way, so I ended up approaching each shot cautiously instead. Due to the short length of levels and the instant retry, difficulty was a fun challenge rather than a nuisance, and progressed smoothly from start to finish!

That was fun! I played it over and over again until I managed to beat it in the "you can't shoot mode". It was very satisfying once I finally nailed it! Great job.

Very well done on beating challenge mode! I could only get as far as the second level... :)

Really good, I loved how every bullet can be both your savior and your doom :P

Really interesting take on the top-down shooter, 5 stars for creativity from me. I liked the level layouts, and I think this game really forces you to take shots carefully while in the face of huge pressure from the time. Really good work! :D And looks like programmer art to me, which is perfectly fine!

Wow pretty epic! Definitely a 5/5 for the originality! I loved your approach on the theme. With a bit more polish and fixes of issues mentioned by other people, your game would be perfect and phenomenal!

Oh wow. This idea of letting a bouncing bullet go has been in my mind for 20+ years by now, but never thought of making an actual game out of it. This is so good, thank you for making it! :D

The concept for this game is super cool! You really need to think about how to approach the levels because missteps don't just mean enemies fire at you, it means anything they do will have everlasting consequences that will most likely get you killed. Very challenging game that I would think of as basically a puzzle game! Timer is also really nice to motivate me to act instead of shoot a single bullet and wait for it to clear all the enemies out slowly.

I really like the game play. Good balance in term of spamming bullets vs getting to the goal easily. And the challenging mode was ... well challenging. Overall, great work on the game!

This game is really fun! I thought the mode where you can't shoot was interesting.

Concept was fun and interesting. It's like a puzzle/shooter hybrid. One suggestion I have is to make the projectiles more distinct from the bullet trails since the bullet trails don't actually hurt you. I would sometimes instinctively dodge the bullet trail straight into a bullet instead.

Fair point, we could definitely add something like that after the jam. Thanks for the feedback :)

This is one of the coolest uses of the theme I've seen so far. The levels need some music, or at least more sound effects. The menu music is cool though, and the art works well. The gameplay is quite engaging and the challenge mode is a good way to add extra content. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The music was originally gonna play during the levels too, but had an issue where it would restart on each death, and we didn't have the time to fix it. There was also a boop sound effect upon a shot hitting a wall but it got to be a bit annoying with too many shots

Good game, almost has a puzzle like aspect to it trying to figure out how everything will turnout after the ricochet and the added challenge of the timer was interesting as well. It hit a balance of being hard but not too hard to the point where its frustrating since, nice work!

Great game, hard though
