Really cool art! the game was fun and i tought the snake like gameplay was interesting, only had problems with the controls sometimes, maybe the arrow keys could be better for the handling. But it was really well done, especially for being done in only two days!
I would prefer arrow keys too. But the problems was that when I've tried to use them, my computer was counting "ctrl + arrow keys" as standard computer commands for some reason. Also, I was actually using WASD throughout the development, but at the very last moment I decided to change it because I realized that both ctrl and WASD are on the same side of the keyboard. So I just decided to use what was the most comfortable option at the moment (IJKL), but I will definitely change them in the next update
Anyways, I'm really glad to hear that you thought the game was fun. Thanks for leaving a comment and playing the game, I appreciate it :)
Interesting take on the theme! I got quite confused with the control scheme which I'm not sure was intentional or not :'D
It was, partially. The main problem is that the character actually follows the row where the red indicator is, not where the character himself is. I didn't realize that most people will look at the character, not the position of the red arrow. That's where the confusion of a lot of people come from... But I will fix all of that in the next update, it was my mistake, after all.
Thank you for playing the game, hopefully the controls didn't ruin your experience ahah. Have a nice day :)
Oh no don't worry! This is why playtesting is so good! Our game went through a few different control iterations and I still don't think it's quite right :'D. I'll be sure to check out the new update when you update it!
I think I need to come up with a strategy for universal controls for the next jams XD
It's quite sad and funny to see every other person commenting on them ahahah. On the other hand, it motivates to learn more and improve my skills, so I I'm glad people honestly share their opinions. Thank you for expressing the interest in the game, I'll be glad to see your ideas on it in the future :) By the way, I'll check your game soon too, curious to see the "controls"
Yeah keep at it! Controls on our game are quite strange, especially if you don't have a QWERTY keyboard :'D
Ahahah. Hopefully, I do (but it would've been funny if I had some kind of IJKL keyboard as the controls of my game)
The music was catchy and nice but eventually started to get too repetitive. I liked the funny theme. I tried to make a sharp U turn but didn't manage to do that but overall a good experience and a god job.
I'm glad you kind of liked the music because I was forced to do something quickly (I was running out of time so badly). I agree that it becomes too repetitive, especially since it sounds a little too aggressive. For my next updates, I'm thinking of composing the proper musical tracks.
I LIKE your challenge, now I want to try making sharp letter too, ahahah. Glad you had fun with the game. I'm thankful for your opinion, it means a lot!
I think this concept pooped out of control. :D Pretty fun game though, good job!
I guess if one day the game will get its full release, your comment should become its official slogan XD
Thank you for a funny comment, had a good laugh. And I'm glad you had fun with it, I appreciate your opinion! Thanks :)
I think it wasn't necessary to include 'ctrl' key in your key mapping , I mean the game already fits the theme and you could implement a better control.
BTW, it's cute and fun. Well done :)
Probably, I should've treated CTRL as a slow-mo button, because it is its purpose. The whole idea was born because of the "CTRL" button, so I wanted to use it anyways. I see where you are coming from and agree that the execution wasn't the best, and I will make a better control (so that CTRL won't feel as a redundant button).
But I'm happy to read that you liked the game. And I highly appreciate the comment, it means a lot for improving my skills and the game itself!
I see that there is no lose concept, instead just score as much as you can. I mean I got confused for some time if I played the game correctly or not. That is my feedback as an end user. (I should not say this because even my game doesn't have a lose case scenario too 😝)
Other than that, I think it is a solid game and makes the user to keep on their toes. Nice one mate :)
I mean, probably it doesn't matter if someone plays the game correctly if he/she has fun with it XD (but the tutorial, mechanics and the learning curve will be updated and upgraded anyways).
I'll check your game to see how similar our 'lose case' scenarios are ahahah. Thank you for kind words about the game. My huge appreciation for them, as well for playing and sharing a comment :)
Wonder where you got the idea for this one... ;)
It looks quite polished but the controls make it very punishing. Would have preferred to either stop gameplay while choosing directions or having more time. Especially u-turns near the end of the play area are pretty much impossible. Still, great fun!

It would help a lot if you would rate my game as well, it's my first ever so would really appreciate the feedback! Thank you
Me: trying to fall asleep at 2 AM to wake up early in the morning for a jam
My brain: I have an awesome idea...
I understand, some people before also mentioned that the controls were difficult to use, which is why I'll change them as soon as I can. I was thinking about stopping the game when holding ctrl, but I think I will just make a better slow-mo effect with some adjustments, because pausing might be over simplify the game. And yeah, I've seen some people LIVE having difficulties with the borders. They'll be fixed as well!
I highly appreciate your suggestion and opinion, it really helps to make my skills and games better. Thank you for playing, and sure, I'll check your game out too :)
Awesome, this is a really interesting take on Snake! The art and music are impressive as well. Nicely done!
It's funny that it wasn't my intention to replicate Snake, but the more I was doing the game, the more I was like "I think I've seen that game before" XD Gladly, I had some twist that differentiates the game from the Original Snake
I appreciate that you enjoyed the art, music, and the game, and I'm thankful for your opinion. Have a nice day!
A nice little snake-like game. At first I was turned off by the controls but once I got the hang of it I thought it was pretty smooth! I'm a little torn on the choice of theme (no pun intended) but the art is pretty good despite being toilet-based!
Ahaha, actually, it was some kind of a experiment for me, because I usually have the opposite style. But this time I decided to take another approach and make something really silly and just fun, so it's good that you appreciated the art XD
But really, thank you for playing and sharing your opinion. Glad you got used to the controls as well :) Have a great day!
Pretty good game. Loved the art style and concept. I too struggled alot with the controls, and i actually Would love to know why you chose IJKL as opposed to arrows or WASD? Also maybe if the slow mottion could have been a but slower, that would help with the issue of control near the corners? But yeah still really fun! Good job!
Glad you asked, let me explain: actually, I was using ”ctrl + WASD” the whole time during the development. But then, before the submission, I understood that both ctrl and WASD are on the same side of the keyboard, so it wouldn’t be comfortable to play it either with one hand, not with both. When I’ve tried to use arrow keys, my computer, for some reason, was counting ”ctrl + arrow keys” as a standard computer commands. So, since I was running out of time, I just used the keys that I thought were the most convenient (it seems it wasn’t the best idea, I know).
I will try a lot of tweaks with controls, though, including improving the slow-mo effect. I agree with you that I should put more emphasis on it. Thank you very much for playing and giving your honest thoughts. I appreciate it!
Thanks for the reply! Good info to keep in mind! :)
Great entry, I love the art! But the controls and movement of toilet paper are too unpredictable for me. Anyway, pretty good job!
Hopefully, you were still able to get used to the controls, but in any case, many people mentioned them as well. I'm working on improving them, and I'll start updating once the rating is over
Thank you for playing the game and writing down your thoughts. Glad you liked the art :)
A
double-plymulti-layered interpretation of the theme, with a nice art style and good music to go with it! Liked the slowdown of the music when in the menu, and the game works like a nice variation on Snake. Took my brain a little while to register needing to control the direction with IJKL input, but I got the hang of it after a short while (besides the classic oopsie of my fingers being in the right formation but wrong location). Nice work! The wrong location problem is probably the worst problem for me XD, hopefully most people could get used to that. I'll think of a better input system in the next update after the ratings are over.
Thank you for commenting about the art and music :) some people had differentiated opinions about slow-down of the music, so I'm glad you liked it. Thank you very much for a detailed opinion, I appreciate it a lot!
I had some fun playing the game, limiting controls on a snake-type game was clever idea and adds some unexpected twist to the game.
My critique, however was like others, the controls could use more improvement. perhaps increasing the slow-motion factor up while you're holding down the CTRL could improve it?
Overall, I loved the main gimmick of the game and it's cute artstlye.. Never thought a pile of poop could be so cute XD
(Oh also some bug report : my game crashed when I released the ctrl while I was colliding with the toilet paper pickup.. whoops!)
Oh, as I just said to someone else in the comments, there is a certain bug when you pick up the item on the very first cell of the arena. I didn't have time to fix it, and I guess it's related somehow to an infinite while cycle. Most people never faced this problem, but seems it's not the case for everybody... Sorry for that, but I will fix it without a doubt. Hopefully, it didn't ruin the experience for you too much.
I will experiment with different controls and ideas, including the slow-mo effect. Your suggestions is one of them, so I'm thankful you thought the same way.
I highly appreciate that you shared your opinion, suggestions, and even reported this bug! All of that will help me to improve the game, thanks ;)
That's nice to hear, I also enjoyed your game & thankfully that bug didn't ruined the experience for me so it was OK.
And overally it was an impressive entry considering the deadlines given, good job! 😁👍
These kind words make me happy, thank you, I'm glad you liked the game! :)
Really good game! The presentation is incredible. But the loss of control sometimes are frustrating (if you are in the corner).
I had a lot of fun anyway XD
Oh yeah, I've seen some people playing it Live, it was a pain to see everyone's struggles with the borders, oops.
Still, I'm really glad you liked the game and had fun with it. I will fix the controls, thank you for playing and telling your thoughts about the game!
sometimes, i run into the ctrl pickup and the game crashes. other than that, i think this one is the best game of the this jam i played.
Oh my God, there is a certain bug when you pick up the item on the very first cell of the arena. I didn't have time to fix it, and I guess it's related somehow to an infinite while cycle. I was relieved that most people never faced this problem, but seems some do. Sorry for that, but I will fix it without a doubt.
And thank you very much for kind words, it really means a lot to me! Glad you liked the game :)
An interesting spin on traditional snake to fit the theme and looks very nice.
As others have said, the controls did feel a little sluggish and having it snap to the right place as soon as you release control might be feel more responsive.
But it's a great submission given the timeframe, good job ^^
I just realized that the reason many people don't get the controls is that the toilet roll actually follows the row of the red indicator, not where the roll is, and it creates this feeling of a late response. Wow, I should've thought of that earlier... Now it makes even more sense why people are struggling so much. Anyways, I truly appreciate your comment and feedback, I find it to be really important for me :) Thank you!
A neat idea and some pretty cute art. I wish holding control would pause the game, because like this the controls felt a bit unprecise. Like I always had to change direction one block before I wanted to, and then it would not collect the corner. Other than that it was pretty fun.
One minor complaint I would have, since you took the time to make a nice menu is that if you do make a menu this way, please add a quit button. It always feels bad having to close a game using 'alt+f4'.
Either way, a really solid jam entry! Well done!
Yeah, sorry about the quit button. I've spent the last hour on making the UI and some kind of a tutorial, and I was literally running out of control and time. Probably, I should've added the button earlier in the development since it's extremely easy to do.
I will experiment with slowing down the game even more because pausing the game entirely seems to be an over simplification. Also, the controls will be fixed, I'm working on them.
Thank you for checking out the game and sharing your honest opinion, this feedback is truly valuable to me. Glad you found the game funny. Have a nice day!
5/5 for the originality! Its a bit frustrating that you put IJKL controls, you could've used arrow keys, but that didn't ruin the overall experience in my opinion, so great job!
I know, I think it was a stupid decision too ahahah. The problem was that I was using the WASD keys until the very last moment because my computer counts ”ctrl + arrow keys” as a standard computer shortcut. But before submitting the game, I realized that ctrl and wasd are on the same side of the keyboard, which makes control difficult. That’s why I changed it to what I felt was the most comfortable for both hands. But I will definitely turn them in the next update; I just need to figure out what keys are the most comfortable t use (any suggestions?)
In any case, I’m glad you liked the Game and it’s idea, and I’m grateful for your opinion :)
p.s. I’m just curious, Are you Kazakh? Sorry if I’m wrong ahah
I think you should make a customisable input system, so that people will be able to have a prefence of controls they want, because not all people have QWERTY keyboards, and no I'm not Kazakh, I'm VERY KAZAKH, you seem to be a kazakh too, right?
Actually, that’s good advice; maybe it’s time to practice how to make customizable inputs. Thank you for the suggestion!
And you are right, I am very Kazakh too ahah, that’s why it’s ”Atym Tima” Games
Алға Қазақстан!
Neat idea, good execution!
Hey, thank you very much, I’m truly happy to hear that :)
Thanks for stopping by and playing the game
This really is a complete game... Took little to nothing to understand the gameplay and mechanics! I love it!
I’m relieved to know that you think so, because it was so unfinished just a little before the deadline XD I guess time constraints truly help to work faster than ever before
And I’m thankful for playing and sharing the opinion, I truly appreciate it. Have a nice day!
