Fun mechanic! For some reason the tutorial shift and q did NOT make any impression on me until I actually got an object and finally figured them out. I was trying to press the keys in the spots where they were and nothing was happening, so XD But it was very intuitive once I got going.
Other than that small thing just it was fun, thanks for making it! ^_^
Glad you liked it! I cant't believe I didn't catch that tutorial issue, but that makes so much since lol Thanks!
That title!
lol thanks!
Great job. Would love an indicator that is more visible when the chain is close to it's length.
Thanks, and great idea!
Cool game! i saw vimlark playing!.
Thanks!
As soon as I loaded this game I knew that this was going to be cool, and it was! For starters this game is super polished, and the art, music, and sfx are really nice. The death mechanic with the chain indicator at the bottom is a really nice way to visualize the "joined together" part without covering too much of the screen, and overall I really liked it! Nice job! :D
Thank you! I'g glad you liked it!
this is pretty creative and fun despite the short length. I think the death mechanic is not super necessary (compared to capping movement in the wrong direction)
It might also be useful to put some type of the legend at the bottom (e.g. green WASD, pink arrows) to help muscle memory come faster
Thanks! That legend is a great idea! (nice profile pic btw lol)
Ok so to start, I had to check out this game after reading your "How does your game fit the theme?" description, because it made me audibly gasp and go "oh my GOSH".
The chain bar at the bottom was a really nice bit of UI to have there (it gets red as it gets more taut?), the game ran flawlessly and buttery-smooth and I had to think about the puzzles quite a bit.
The ending cutscene was a really nice touch too. I think I would have liked to see more done on the presentation front to make each level look more like a prison or dungeon, and I did find the soundtrack a bit hard on the ears after a bit so a volume bar would be an excellent addition, but this was a very fun game! Great work! :D
Im glad you liked it and thank you so much for the feedback! I wish I would have done more decorations and the such
this is so much fun! my favorite game in the jam so far. it's really well made, and the bar at the bottom of the screen is such a lovely touch. Great job!
Thank you!!!
Pretty tough game, I can definitely see this get more fleshed out and expanded on
This game was awesome. I really enjoyed playing this and I think aesthetically it looks gorgeous. Really simple to understand and challenging to work through the levels. I love that the chain had an actual mechanic rather than just a visual thing for the theme. Really well done, I loved playing this.
Thank you so much! Im glad you enjoyed it.
Fun game! I like the novelty of the chain being a lose condition rather than just being an inconvenience of not being able to move, really fits the theme. Looks good too.
Thanks!
"Ayyy, the prisoners are free!" - me, after I beat this.
lol yea!
This gives me 80's life in the best way. Graphics are flirting with Atari and I mean that as a compliment. Very fun. Looks/sounds great.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the art.
Great Job! Took a bit to get used to playing two characters at the same time, but once I got used to it, it was a lot of fun! :D
Thank you so much! If you having trouble you can try alternating characters, though it takes a lot longer. Thanks again!
It's not an issue with the game or anything, just took me a minute to wrap my head around it. Once I did though, it was great!
