How does your game fit the theme?
Every physical action of the two swordsmen is linked. If one is on a platform the other does not fall, if one swings his sword so does the other, etc.

Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

No

We used pre-existing art

Did your team create the vast majority of the music during the 48 hours?

The music is an interesting choice making it sound like a dream sequence which sort of clashes with all of the artwork chosen lol. I like this concept but I wonder what would it be like if rather than making it so that one floats in the air or is stopped by an invisible wall if the two have independent physics...Sure that completely changes the game but I'm just wondering what that game might look like.

solid puzzle game! made me think a lot and the puzzle elements themselves were really interesting!

Wow, very interesting! Completing the puzzles really required me to think hard about how the two maps overlay and how the enemy will react once hit. Loved it!

This game feels so satisfying. The movement and the snappiness of the attack animations are really nice. I will say that the stop is a little slippery. I did for a while forget about the second half the the screen and was wondering why I was floating over a hole. I was just so enthralled with swinging the sword.

Great game, I loved the way the attack feels.  Also, this is a very clever take on the theme of the jam.  A job well done, I think you if you spend time on this after the jam you will be able to create a really cool game.

Also, I encountered a very minor bug where the enemy can get stuck in between a platform and jitters in place.  Not sure if you are aware, but here is a screenshot just in case:

In any case, great game.  I had fun!

Yeah we couldn't quite figure out how to fix that one in the 48 hours. Our temporary solution was to put in an instant reset button haha. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of the game!

Nice haha, good luck!

Awesome game, i enjoyed it a lot.  There are some tricky situations but the levels are just perfect. Love the music, especially the death sound :)

Developer

Oh I'm glad you like the music! I wasn't too happy with it, but that's probably because I've had to listen to it on repeat for countless hours haha

Great minds really do think alike lol. I really love your take on this, the platforming and movement feel really tight and responsive and I like the combination of thinking where to attack and also skill needed to perform it.

Awesome game! Initially I was surprised that the characters could float in midair (in similar games, usually the two entities will "de-synchronize", which is part of the interest in the mechanic), but after seeing that you couldn't directly kill the enemies, I thought it was really clever. Nice work!

Really clever game! Great job designing the levels as well

Really cool game, I really like how doing a level as the player gives you insight into how to get the enemy back through it.  Nailed the theme and the level design!

Nice idea, it's fun, but the game is a little buggy. Enemies can get stuck in collisions. Good work anyway!

Developer

Thanks! This is the first game we've ever made, so I'm just glad we got it done haha

Alright now this is an excellent take on the two characters idea, super cool execution having it be different dimensions, and having your swords slice dimensions and moving enemies between them to destroy them is incredibly clever. Great job!

This game was AWESOME! I loved the concept and it was implemented really well. I like the sound affect at the end of each level as well XD

Really fun implementation of the theme!

Great work! Neat voice and other effects. Must have been quite some work to put the levels together.

Developer

Thank you! I didn't think level design was gonna be as difficult as it was!

Looks really good and I enjoyed the audio choices. The physics working from both worlds was fun to work out and you create cool levels with how the enemies interact. Nice idea and execution!

I really like the level design! Awesome game!

Love the idea. It took a while to really understand it. Level 3 was tough until I got the idea of the enemy registers only on the map he is on. I think the first 2 levels don't communicate that clearly since they just auto fell to the spikes. Really cool concept!
