I really like this idea! I did end up just taking every spirit with me, it would have been nice to have to make some tough decisions, but still, I really like it, good job!

As we think about future updates balancing the discord and making it so you either have to be a god like gamer or get rid of some spirits is a goal. Additionally giving the spirits some more personality so you can decide if you yourself vibe with them or not. Some fun ideas we are playing around with.
Good game guys, I loved the art style it was fun to collect spirits too, I was a bit lost at the beginning that something you guys can look into but overall good game :D
Hey! Sorry I never got around to streaming your game. Decided to revisit the queue before it was too late.
Fun idea! I love the way the different spirits interact and the potential for lots of fun synergies and antergies. The spirit dialog bubbles can get a little cluttered, but they seem to cool off with time which is nice. I also appreciate the generous checkpoints.
Really cool progression mechanic! I found the presentation a bit at odds with the gameplay, the spikes and pits were hard to judge in relation to your character as it was floating, and the things flying around you obscured the obstacles. I think if you could tell what was going on a bit better it'd be a lot more fun. Also holy fast spikes!
I love the art and music. Those ghosts are adorable! As a big fan of metroidvanias, I really like the idea of the ghosts following you around and providing different abilities (I had considered doing something similar with my game). However, I did find the game to be a bit frustrating in its execution and I hope you don't find my critique too harsh.
Firstly, this is probably more a silly nitpick but the fact that you're depicted as a floating ghost and the main hazards are spikes and pits feels kinda off. I feel like this could be remedied by having different kinds of hazards that make sense thematically, or simply removing the floating effect on the player. Again, not a big deal as you quickly learn that spikes will hurt you, but it is a bit misleading visually.
Also I think the hitboxes, timing and placement of the spikes could be tweaked to find a better balance between being challenging and being fun. The player moves very fast at some points in the game, which makes fine movement rather difficult and frustrating, so spacing out some hazards a bit more would be better. Also I noticed that if you are overlapping two spike tiles, you get damaged by both simultaneously. Not sure if that's intended, but I would suggest coding it so it only damages you once per cycle.
Lastly, I found the ghosts to be a big visual distraction. Perhaps if they were transparent or talked less it would be less annoying. Not sure if it was intended to be distracting/annoying, but it definitely affected my enjoyment of the game.
I apologize again if any of this criticism comes off as too harsh. You have a really neat idea here with great art/music! And it's amazing that you were able to pull this together in just 48 hours. Great job! I think with more time and careful consideration to level design, this could be fleshed out into something much more enjoyable.
Cute and original; I’d love to see more levels of this :)
I found the spirit’s hit box to be a bit hard to get used to. I quite often died because the shadow was over the spikes even though it looked like I wasn’t. I think it might feel a bit fairer if you were a bit closer to the ground the the player sprite and ‘safe’ area matched a bit better; especially as there’s a degree of precision needed for these puzzles.
That said, I made it to the end, and enjoyed doing so :D
Beautiful art style, cute characters and very polish game overall.
I was a bit lost at first and felt there was a lot of information about the ghost but eventually I got the hang of it. Spikes were tought LOL, I died so many times there !!!
Thanks for sharing this awesome creation with us and congrats on finishing the jam. I hope you had a blast making this game and cant wait to see what you can come up with for future jams.
Great job
Fun concept and pretty neat implementation! The screen clutter got a bit annoying, but the game overall has a fun tone and personality. Good job!
I live the idea but the screen clutter is a bit too much. Finding a better cadence of when the various ghost text pops up I think would help a lot. It would also be nice to have some way to identify which spirits were in your party and which were not. I had to shuffle around a bit to try and identify the right spirit at one point. I would have also liked it for the action buttons to be in the in game spirit info screen.
The basic idea with different spirits giving different abilities could be expanded out quite nicely I think. I also liked the music and art.
Fun idea! I really appreciated the generous checkpoint system because I was _bad_ at dodging those spikes, haha. Good take on the theme and really cute presentation. I liked the Skyrim reference in the beginning. :P
I like the level and the abilities that the ghosts grant you; this is effectively a mini-metroidvania which is hard to pull off in such a short time! I think what I felt was missing most was some SFX for the spikes in particular; it is hard to get the timing right with just visual information─SFX more in general would've been a great addition. I liked the art and the music. It's not easy to work as a team and maintain a cohesive vision, which you've managed to do to great effect, well done!
It's a cute premise, but I am not sure if I enjoy the direction you took the design. The screen get's easily cluttered with information overload. I can give points on creativity and ideas (it's kind of cute to have a bunch of bickering toddler-like characters), but if you want to work more on this in the future you would have to overhaul a few design choices. See if there is say way to lower the amount of content on the screen would be a good starting point.
The art is delightful and the premise is very unique. The social aspect of managing ghost is an amazing idea! It has so much potential, very nice job!
I really love the concept! I had something similar in my mind for the game initially :)
Your game is a top down-metroidvania adventure or Zelda game! It has a nice lenth for a game jam game: short and fun game where you can taste the main mechanism.
I agree with others that sometimes the speach boubles are a little bit annoying, but it can be fixed easily. Overall it is a nice game!
Love everything about it, the level design is good and very cool idea for the theme! I found a bug though that let me dash outside the map and softlocked me. Still fun though!
