How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about the companionship between a clueless robot and a mindful flower. The robot needs to carry the flower to a destination as her final mission. The robot can walk, but can't think. The flower can think, but can't walk. The flower gives the robot instructions, but only when the flower is exposed to light. There is a strong connection between the robot and the flower, as well as between the flower and light.

Really good puzzle concept. Pretty interesting to play, nice art style, music a bit loud but it's okay. Good game, really liked it, I wish where were more levels but for the jam it's understandable.
finished it and I wasn't sure if it was a cake or an altar until the (spoiler) thing happened
the artstyle was amazing though
great work!
One other thing which occurs to me: I wonder if it would be good to have some kind of visual feedback when the player tries to use the controls while in darkness. It's great that the flower changes to indicate the moment when you pass in and out of the light. But maybe some acknowledgement that you've pressed the keys, to indicate that the controls are broken on purpose, not the game. Anyway, great job, I love this one!
Wow this idea is brilliant! My tired mind during the jam cannot come up with better ideas lol. I currently don't have any concrete plan for a possible full-fledged release of the game but if I do, the visual feedback will be the first thing I improve. Thanks for the suggestion! One question: did you submit any game? I can't find any game with your name on it :<
This was great! The gameplay is interesting and original, and the art is weird and excellent. The light and shadow in particular was executed very well.
I struggled for a minute with the battery-things that you push into the bulb-things. It wasn't clear from the art (at least to me) what they were supposed to be. But I figured it out eventually, so it wasn't a big issue.
The little ending cutscene is lovely. Thank you for letting me play it!
The game looks so pretty! I love the art aesthetic and music choice.
The gameplay idea is pretty intresting and the puzzles are quite challenging, thanks for posting the video showing how to beat them all haha
Awesome game, very polished
Impressive art stytle love it! The music match the aesthetic so well, great design work. I just had some bugs in the controls, sometimes they didn’t work, but overall great game!!!
This is such an amazing game, from its original ideas to its art and music. The only thing that I would complain about is the movement/restart - I often felt as if the robot was a bit unresponsive, which led to mistakes, the frustration of which was augmented by the very slow restart time. Other than that this is a great entry
I love the mood and tone of this game, it immediately drew me into the story and made me feel so many things for that robot flower! A quicker reset time after the player presses 'r' could help ease the frustration of not solving a puzzle, keeping the player engaged.
Art created in a such short time is impressive! Also the concept of the game. Well done!
man what an amazing idea for a puzzle game. but it just lacks a little bit on the presentation side. maybe this tips would help you along the way.
-if you are making a puzzle game, once the player knows the solution, making the input should be lightning fast, otherwise it would cause frustration.
-whenever you are making the player collide with another thing in the game, the bounds of this collision should be crystal clear, especially for a puzzle game. this was not the case with your character collider.
-on your game i felt that the robot was too slow and kind of out of my control, this feeling got amplified with the fuzzy colliders.
hope play more from you, cheers!
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! Unfortunately this is my first time making a puzzle game, so the best thing I could do was watching a couple of GMTK's videos on making puzzles. I asked my friends to playtest for me and they was a bit confused too. Maybe when I study more game design theory, I will remake this into a full-fledged mobile game. Really appreciate your comment!
The first level was a bit annoying to restart because of the drawn out intro, also the walls in that level have no colliders so you can just exit the map. I also found myself frequently losing light because I pushed a box from the bottom into another collider, and my head would clip into the box and lose sight of the lightbulb
Very polished puzzle game with a pretty original idea, but the connection to the theme of the jam feels like a bit of a leap.
