@Nikitakart interesting concept, I can see a lot of potential here keep updating this one Nikita

This is the first game I've seen interpret the theme like this, it was interesting to see, and definitely pretty well executed.  Though the beginning is really hard due to how fast the resources drain, and the fact that you already have a drain on resources which gives you a very short death timer.

One main thing I would say was a bit weird was the fact that the game had pausing, but didn't pause the resource drain while looking at the menus for different planets.  I would say if there is a pause it makes a bit more sense if it pauses when you're in menus, but that's just my 2 cents.

Glad you liked my interpretation and execution of the theme! The pause thing is really turned out to be kinda strange and in post-jams polishing I already implemented automatic pause/unpause and I definitely will add some sort of tutorial. Of course I can't upload updates untill the jam is over.

I used to spend hourssss on flash games like these when I was growing up.  This is so cool.  My one suggestion would be to introduce the resources slowly -- like the most essential ones first so we can see how they work.  Maybe even simplify the number of resources and building options so it is easier to get a hang of.

All in all, this is really impressive.  Great job!

Thank you for the suggestion and for your kind words! I will rebalance the early game a little bit in post-jam versions.

After a few attempts I've gotten all five resources to increase. Took me until 84 people to pull it off. It was a lot of fun, boiled down some things usually seen in big games down to a small one.

A bit more information at the start would be nice. I found metal to be excessively easy to get and calculating the offsets from increased population was a bit annoying (especially since it made some building that "gave" those resources absorb it). An auto-pause when you land on a planet would be nice. I hit spacebar every-time I landed so I would have time to read the buildings. Overall the game's polish is really good.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, nice to see that you had fun :)
I am alraedy implemented auto-pause and some other features in my post-jam version of the game, but of course I can't upload it untill the jam is over.

Really nice game! You can definitely go somewhere with this game, easy to learn and fun to play! 😁 The game is maybe a bit hard, I died a lot of time 😅

Submitted

Lots of fun! I played many more rounds than I intended to. The game mechanics are a lot of fun and addicting. There's just a few issues with communicating them.

Whenever you lose, it doesn't show the clear cause of death. You have to search your resources until you find the neglected one. The food resource is hard to see with dark UI panel behind it. I also didn't notice the ship upgrades for the longest time.

But still lots of fun, when I figured out that stuff.

Thank you for the feedback and I glad you liked my game! I'll definitely improve UI readability.

Cool game! I like the idea of having to rush between the planets in order to survive, though it is pretty difficult to figure things out at the start.

this just need some balancing at the start. died of hunger, run out of power, doomed to death :) But I can see the amount of work you did there. Well, done!

This was a super cool game! I like how you need to strategize which planets you need to go to and which resources you need as your resources quickly drain! The only thing I had an issue with is I didn't like how there wasn't a clear indicator of resources about to run out, but that's about it. Great game!

Really cool concept I love it ! It might be difficult at the beginning because the ressource are going away really fast but we get use to it ! If you can polish it more with music or other thing you could probably developp it into a complete game ! Congrats :D

really nice take on the theme, little complex but fun :)

I like the spritework of your game, and the general idea of it is really nice too!, i like this kind of resource management game, good job on your entry.

The UI looks great for the time you had! It is complex at first, but after realizing the game could be paused I got hooked :).

Submitted

Really cool game! I enjoyed the complexity you were able to build in the mechanics without it becoming overly cumbersome or hard to follow! Setting up the trade routes and all was very satisfying as well!

One thing I could suggest is giving the player one extra boost after launching to give a bit more hope or sense of control in a situation where you are unable to reach another planet due to a small mistake or overestimation.

This game feels like one that could polish up nicely over time with some more content to get a nice full release!

Good job!

Thank you! Great suggestion actually, and yes I will polish it :)

so much reading and the resolution is super low on the hud

Developer

Sad you didn't like it, but thanks for the feedback anyway

I really love the concept, and once I stopped dying almost instantly I had a lot of fun with it!
It really sucks when I misclick and the ship doesn't make it to a new planet and I just have to restart since there's nothing I can do, but other than that, I think this game was really, really good.
Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I glad you enjoyed the game!

I'm not very good at this type of games, but I do appreciate the art style and the clean UI. Good work!

Submitted

This game is promising, but I found it a bit too punishing and quickly paced. These games are up my alley, so if it were a bit slower, even just at the start, I reckon I could get absorbed in this. But still, great work!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I will definitely look at the difficulty problems in post-jam polishing

Really good. A kindred hard-game-type jammer :)

I really dig your execution. I think it needed some "finale" to work towards besides "just" upgrading your ship. I only got to T3 colonies though, so not sure if there was something beyond that. The gas went to zero really quick.

I also found out you could "Cheese" it when you were in a positive state by just sitting on your income.

Developer

Thank you very much! Tier 3 is the final tier, there is not so much late game content right now. And about the "cheese"... to be honest I didn't think that this is pretty easy to pull off, but I see some people doing it just fine, maybe I just not very good at my own game lol

Cool game! It's cool that you were able to build a resource game in such a sort amount of time. I really liked upgrading the spaceship, upgrade games are satisfying.
