I really enjoyed this! It was way too hard for my tastes, but the gameplay, art, and sound were fun! I think some of the arbitrary restrictions like not letting the bugs see the magnet was kind of silly. It didn't really serve a purpose beyond "here's an arbitrary mechanic for the sake of a puzzle". If there was an in-game explanation or lore that made it make sense, it would've worked more for me. But, I felt that a few of the mechanics just felt like arbitrary, frustrating restrictions that existed for the sake of a puzzle rather than the puzzle existing due to the mechanic. Overall, the game was fun, and I enjoyed it!
I'll improve on my next jam! Thank you for playing!
The music is a bit grading to be honest. Not a bad puzzle game.
Ooooooh who thought pulling a rock with a magnet would be so fun. Solid gameplay, and lots of fun!
Thanks Man!
Cool mechanic! I like that your metal rock is your weapon but also one of the failure conditions of the level, interesting dynamic. But the random movement of the target makes the levels quite frustrating, I think it would help, if they followed a preset path.
I actually have a post jam version which addresses this issue, because I just couldn't stand people telling me that the game is fun, but it is frustrating because of random movement. Note: Do NOT rate the game according to how the game was in Post-jam update. That can get my entry disqualified. If you want you can check it from my profile
Haha, sorry for all the nagging^^" I'm gonna give it a try, interrested in seeing how it changes the game (but will of course I will not modify my review)
its not only you, a lot of em' said that :)
Really fun and frustrating in the good way. Quick restarts give it that "one more try" quality, could've honestly played it for another 8 levels and still be having fun. Great work for a 24 hour job. Only mistep is the music, I wish it was quieter or I could turn it off while keeping the sound effects
Thanks man! I will definitely add this feature in my upcoming jams
If Agent 47 was a magnet, this would happen! Very nice concept and fun to play!
HITMAN Magnet Edition LOL! Thank You fam!
Cool idea but I did feel like the magnet mechanic was a little finicky. But the game is still pretty fun.
Thank You!
Really cool idea, I think some improvements to polish and the music would make this a really fun game
Thank You for your feedback!
Great take on the theme! The core mechanic is there, now work up the game juicy in the game. More natural walking movement on the enemies, and alert the player is some way when the enemies sees the magnet, maybe some trail of dust particles after the metal. Hard part to finish in 48 h jam like this. It was stressful as hell to manage and finish. Keep it up!
Good conceptually. Somewhat frustrating at times during gameplay though. Not bad at all for the time provided. Good job!
Original concept, I liked the gameplay and the music.
Thanks Man!
really liked killing people with a rock!
Thanks Man!
The game's concept is really cool but the level deisgn really bad. Succeeding is more about luck than skill
Thanks for the constructive feedback! Will improve in upcoming jams!
That's great ! Good luck !
Really enjoyed it. It is an AMAZING game.
Thank You!
Pretty cool game ngl, i feel maybe the enemy paths could be a bit more predictable and there could be some way to know who can see the magnet by showing their field of view?
Thanks for the constructive feedback! Also, thanks for playing the game!
Nice job ! Relly cool game :D
Thanks Mate!
I would have loved for the enemy path to be little more predictable. Maybe display the path they'll take in some sort of fashion. Sweet idea though!
I didn't have much time to do it because I started working on the project 1 day after the game started, I've planned for a post jam update which will show where the enemy will go. Thanks for playing the game!
Design concept of moving the magnet around is quite neat and clever! Liked the idea, well done :)
Thanks Mate!
Very good presentation! Only real complaint I would have is that winning almost felt more like luck than skill or strategy since the rock and enemies all move so quickly... otherwise very good!
Will make it better in the post Jam Update where I am planning to make a indicator on where the people go, so you can make your moves according to that which should fix that feeling that you won because of luck. Also, Thank You fam!
I like it, sounds like a great solution! Hope it works out well!
I think I killed two civilians but I still won on the last level. It was awesome. Only feedback I have is I wish there was more feedback on what exactly caused you to lose. The "They found the magnet" was a tough one to sus out.
That must've been a bug LOL. Anyway thanks for playing!
