How does your game fit the theme?
Bullet Happy is a Bullet Hell, and normally you would be trying to avoid all the bullets and enemies in one. However, in Bullet Happy, your goal is to run into as many bullets and ram as many enemies as you possibly can! Don't let bullets fly off into the void!

Really fun and surprisingly polished for a 48hr jam! Very satisfying movement too.

(Consider checking out my submission, Duck Run! It's a spin on the classic Duck Hunt game)

Youve positively outdone yourselves with this game. It looks basically entirely complete; you have a lot to be proud of here. It's fun and addictive and would be a game i could see myself playing for a good while. Your talent really shows through this, and I'll have to keep an eye on you and whatever you make in the future!

Awesome game! At first, I was so confused on why I was getting hurt, but I figured it out when I died. Amazing visuals and audio!

I really have nothing but good things to say about this game. The art is great, the music/sfx is fits perfectly, and the gameplay is smooth and satisfying. All that combined with amazing polish makes this game an amazing Jam entry. Give yourself plenty of pats on the back because this game is lovely.

The game feels great to play. Great visuals and sound make the hits very satisfying. Also a very creative use of the limitation.

Incredibly fun! Takes bullet hells player focus and expands it to the whole board.

Dash feels great and game looks cohesive yet readable. Best of both worlds!

This is insanely fun!! It goes against every instinct in me to aim FOR the bullets in a bullet hell game. Very cool concept! My absolute favorite thing about this is the color palette, though. That pixel art is rad.

Great game!

I love how intuitive and simple this game is. With many other jam games often having a bit of a learning curve to understand how the game works, it is nice to have one that just makes sense by playing it. The only thing that I got tripped up by was that my dashes didn't do damage, but instead killed the enemies and blocking is the only thing that does damage.

This is a very cool idea, and it really makes you think differently about bullets within a bullet hell game. Normally, when you dodge a bullet you just forget about it and keep looking at what is coming, but now you need to keep track of everything on the screen no matter what.

There are a lot of opportunities for new mechanics to be added as well, I was thinking about the possibility of different bullet types and such. Maybe some bullets that split into more when blocked, or ones that can bounce back into the arena after leaving only once. Lots of room for more ideas here.

The arena itself could also have a big effect on gameplay, a gap in the middle of the arena makes it harder to traverse and get to the other side if you need to be there to reach a stray bullet.

I realized how much of this game is about positioning, and enemy priority. Being far away from enemies that shoot many bullets can be detrimental since they will just go everywhere, so you need to be near them to get them while they are still clumped.

You could also continue to look at what various things bullet hell games give you to help you, and think of how to implement them into this. One that I thought of, was many bullet hell games give you some sort of "clear everything around me" option to get out of a tricky situation. What if, in this game you had the same thing but it pulled in nearby bullets?

I think that this game could benefit from a health restore when you complete a level, or some other form of saving, since it can be annoying to work all the way back up to the later levels. But I can see it not being a priority since there is only 15 waves.

Visuals were nice and simple, and the music fit well. (I loved the part where it stopped did the few beats, before coming back in)

Great work!

Wow, thanks for the absolutely MASSIVE post of feedback! Yeah, I completely agree with you, this can be expanded in a multitude of different ways and I may revisit the idea or game later. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I absolutely loved this game! It's so pretty, polished, and fluid. The concept is pretty clever and leads to a very engaging gameplay loop. The VFX, animation, art, and everything in between combine to make a very satisfying game feel. Absolutely awesome!

The game was a blast to play, it is a great game and very fun to spend the time with. The only criticism I can bring to the table is that the game maybe could use some power-up or something that would change the gameplay from the player's point of view, or instead, a power-up of new bullet types that enemies shoot. The game also has kind of a slippery movement, in the beginning, it was difficult to accustomed to but I realized that it is a great tie-in to the dash mechanic. The music and the sound effect are great and it is very difficult to get tired of them, also the art is amazing. This was the best game the team played so far, congratulations on the project!!

Another strong contender for a winning game.

Reverse Bullet-hell is kind of a catch-phrase these days. But this game truly delivers on that promise.  Mostly because it gives me anxiety about bullets.

Amazing job and hope you do well.

Great visuals, music, and concept. 5/5/5!

This was so much fun! The movement feels amazing and I love the concept.  I'm coming back to this to play later. Great work!

A reverse Shmup! The movement is extremely polished! Having your attack shoot you in the direction you're aiming is super simple, but it's crazy fun. I can't get past level 11, but I'll be back to try again, that's for sure.
