This was an interesting, though somewhat frustrating game. It took me a while to get a hang of the controls, and even then I didn't always feel like I was in control. Having the block's momentum reset on the swap is interesting, but also feels kinda clunky in a way. I'm not sure I'd prefer the alternative, though. Also, since so much of the game is about timing (waiting for gravity to move the block far enough), having the levels auto-start seems like a bad idea. It would be nice if the game gave me a moment to look at the level before things started moving.
What a cool take on the gamejam theme! Good job! :D
Pretty neat idea and fun reaction-based puzzles! Would be fun to see more environment effects that made levels different too.
Cool interpretation of the theme! The boxes accelerate so fast it's hard to keep up
Would it be better if they were slower? I'm planning on updating the game for the post jam jam after the game jam ends so I could change it if you think it would be better that way.
Not necessarily, I just think it would be better if we could see the stage paused before the game starts. For most of the levels, I had to restart a few times before I figured out where the boxes were starting, their starting directions, and the goal places. So maybe show the stage paused and then only start the movement when the user presses space?
Really cool game took me some to figure out what was going on. Add instructions and controls next time.Overall really nice concept!
Interesting concept and fun little game. Level design was mostly pretty good with some of the earlier levels demonstrating mechanics effectively. The last level annoyed me a bit but I liked the rest. More levels would have been good and presentation is pretty bare bones, but other than that I really liked it. Nice job.
Cool concept, simple but it works! Will see future implementations with new items!!!
Simple mechanics and you still managed to entertain me with just pressing one button lol.
Congratulations on your first game!
(Also, the music made it really relaxing)
Super creative puzzle game, never seen anything like it!
I especially loved the final level, super clever that you have to push the one block off with the other, and take it's place, took me a while to figure that one out.
Great stuff!
Good execution, especially for your first game. Id like to see more interesting puzzle mechanics as ultimately each puzzle is solved the same way.
Simple but interesting mechanics!
Cool, clever game that is simple enough to grasp while still being clever enough to be enjoyable. My only real gripe is how a lot of the time the puzzle is less about figuring out how to solve it and more about just managing to click at the right time, but otherwise was really enjoyable.
Simple but clever and enjoyable! I enjoyed that it was both a puzzle to figure out each level but also semi-reactive as the gravity kicks in right away. The use of the inset for the victory gates was particularly clever in the way it lets you manipulate the other box without risking the first one. Nicely done!
The concept is so good I love it! But I think the game need a lot of polish with sound effect, feedbacks and visuals. Keep up the good work!
Good game and fun!
I am dumb and got stuck really early but i enjoyed what i managed to play. The game was fun and had a really unique take on the theme.
Did you get stuck on level 3? I feel like that one turned out harder then I expected
I really liked the idea on this one. Definitely worthy of growing further. I think it would be good to make the reset "harder" lol. I kept resetting myself on accident.
How would you suggest changing it?
My initial thought would be to move it to a keyboard key like R or esc with a pause before it actually resets.
Need puzzles, I enjoyed the flipping
Neat little puzzle game, the puzzles where you need to instantly flip gravity can be somewhat frustrating
Would this be better? the timing is a bit easier
Yeah it probably would be!
Even having a 'press button to start level' would be good too, then the player can start when they're ready.
