Phenomenal presentation! The feel of each punch, the music, the crowd - really sold the premise. And it was really funny having to try to get hit by some of the uh... worse opponents. Solid work!
hehe thank
Very fun reverse punchout!
Would like to see more 'telegraphing' from your opponents, sometimes it was quite hard getting hit and felt a bit too much like luck, but overall great work!
This was incredibly fun and a very satisfying game. Landing a punch felt absolutely perfect and the game never felt too difficult. Well done!
fun game with a really unique sort of difficulty, it was really nice to play and control and was pretty difficult honestly but well done!
As a boxer myself I was really happy to find a game with this approach !! I found it hilarious and super polished (maybe a little bit too hard) but overall one of my best rating so far.
Really cool concept and awesome game, really liked how its handled :)
Also, it is really polished!
I beat it so o became the national box champ... no wait... i guess i did not really did that...
But the boss is happy at least
Pretty clever take on the theme! The punches are satisfying and the art is pretty good!
I really like this take on the theme!
Very satisfying to play! Super enjoyable! Love the style of it and it feels good to punch!
When I saw this in the discord I just had to play it. I love the style of game where you have to "cheat" to win. I'd love to see more of this if you ever come back around to it!
Really clever and super juicy and satisfying! I would love to see other ways to gain credibility, like near misses or close dodges.
Most creative ive played yet, my dad was a boxer so i really enjoyed this. Great stuff!
This is such a good fun premise and the gameplay mechanics are simple yet fun! One critique that I think would improve this game would be to have the opponent just punch more. Oftentimes, I would find myself just trying to follow my opponent, begging for him to hit me. But if opponents punched more often and were not always straightforward, I think it could be more fun basically trying to run into the opponent's wild misses.
Overall, the game is super fun and I would encourage you to continue developing this idea!
I genuinely loved this. Fun concept, brilliantly executed and made me smile constantly. Art, music, sfx, story all matched perfectly with the theme as well.
I wonder if you made the punching mechanic too satisfying! It felt super responsive and juicy, I flippin loved whacking my opponents, so it genuinely felt hard to resist haha.
On a more serious note, if you continued development I'd love it if the believability went up for things other than just hitting them. Eg if you swing and miss only inches from them - it would add an extra layer of skill, and keep the player active (I found on the third guy a lot of the time was waiting for them to throw their punch).
ey nice!
If someone described "Punch Out with two health bars" I don't think I would be as interested in what you've actually done here. And it's pretty neat. Having one bar that always drains but refills when you land a hit? But landing a hit costs health from the enemy which you don't want to deplete? Well done.
The game ultimately felt a little slow and sometimes maybe frustrating when enemies would constantly dash before throwing a wide punch. I got the gist of the game after the first fight, so speeding things up a bit might make for a more satisfying jam game experience.
But overall, this is a pretty cool game, and it looks and plays very well for a jam game. Good job everyone! Keep making games!
This game was quite fun! I felt the gameplay loop was rewarding and a really cool take on the theme. The art, sound, VFX, and animation in this game were also really fantastic! I especially loved this color palette! My one hangup in not having been able to beat the third fighter. Trying to guess where they would punch while managing the believability and my own health bar was fun in the first two fighters but got really frustrating in the third one. I feel like any kind of indication of where he would punch would help a lot. Regardless, this was quite fun to play! Very impressive for 48h!

soundin gud
This is the best game I've seen so far! Very polished and satisfying, good job!
Really well polished! Hahaha, I laughed out loud at "hey! this guy's a fraud!" 😆 It reminded me of a warioware game, in a good way
Very cool! As you said on my game page, the games share some similarities. Ironically my idea was going to be even more similar to yours, but I did not have time to make it! My plan was for the opposing wrestler to be depressed and wanting to lose his last match before retiring, only for you to make him believe he won.
Anyway, this is one of the best games I have played on here! Super polished and juicy.
Quite creative. The art is nice, the voice is pretty funny. The gameplay could be improved with some characters gimmick/variety. Still very enjoyable.
