Interesting, though very basic.
Would've been nice to have some reason to stop shooting, maybe more movement speed when you ease off the trigger or something. I feel like the barrier player has more say over the overall strategy, so it's a bit sad that both AIs tend to simply target the enemies closest to the line.
Honestly though most issues seem to be in the presentation overall. The game plays fine, the concept's decent enough, it just could've used more punch. The third gun really felt like a downgrade, in terms of enjoyment. It seemed powerful behind the scenes but just didn't feel it, especially after losing the second gun's rapid fire. Every gun sounds the same, and enemies don't really have any visual feedback for if you're hitting them or not. A simple flash or sound cue would've done wonders, even under the time crunch.
thanks for the feedback.
Fun concept, I enjoyed playing this.
Thanks for playing!
I like the rythmic snare drum pistol sound
thanks!
I got to wave 23! Good job, I felt like the theme was implemented very creatively. However, I do wish the barricader player had upgrades as well. Regardless, it was fun.
thanks for playing! during the jam i wanted to add much more upgrades but i didn't had enough time to balance everything out.
Very cool, I really like that there is happening so much on screen and the idea of switching with an Ai is also nice!
thank you!
Very interesting concept and great execution! I loved playing the game, the art made me think the game wouldn't be that good but the gameplay said otherwise, it's very fun and engaging to play as 2 different roles!
If I had to give some feedback it would be to make the uzi the 3rd gun instead of the 2nd as the shotgun felt a bit weaker, also I'd love more variety with the enemies as they got boring to look at and it made it kind of repetitive even though, the difficulty curve is perfect though, this was my final score!
most of my friends told me that uzi is better than the shotgun but personally i consider it being an upgrade.
during later waves (wave 25 - 30) there are so many enemies that the extra range the shotgun provides helps a bunch.
also i had plans for different types of zombies / more upgrades but i just ended up working on polish.
thanks for playing!
Which was worth it tbh the way the game is so polished it feels really fun to play, maybe you can add more variety after the game jam if you'd like! Also about the shotgun, you clearly know better so if you think that's the case then keep it like that my friend
thank you once again!
Pretty good idea and well executed. I love the art, it's simple and charming.
i'm missing some music, but the game is quite fun. Great job!
music is pretty much one of the only things i struggle with. i really should consider improving at it or asking a friend to work on the jam together. thanks for the feedback!
I really liked the idea but it could have used some upgrades for building as well.
i wanted to but i didn't have much time. thanks for playing!
Cute game!
thanks!
Cool idea, but much too slow to get into that killing-frenzy.
yup. thanks for playing!
Very fun and easy to pickup. I appreciate that in a jam game!
thank you!
The concept, execution, and art is great! My game is actually similar to it, but with a different genre.
Thanks! I'll play your game!
How bad is it on a scale of 9 to 10?
huh? i don't understand what you mean by that.
i think your game is pretty good! the spikes are a bit too brutal and it would have been nice if the platforms were visible at all times, so you would know what each button does.
that was a joke lol. Thanks anyways
Nice game. Graphics were very cute. As others mentioned, it feels a little slow, and at the start of the game I was a bit confused as to what the objective was.
Good job on the game!
yeah i should've added some sort of tutorial (maybe controls on screen?) . thanks for the feedback!
Super unique! I would prefer if it were a small bit faster, but well done all the same!
thanks for the feedback! i am going to speed the game up some time later lol
Very fun I got to wave 16 and unlocked all the upgrades. I got hit once right at the end so had 90hp left
I like the idea of the player switching back and forth, I can imagine if you add many characters with different roles/skills it can increase the challenge and spice up the game!
Only thing I would say is probably make the bullet speed or player speed faster, or add an upgrade to increase bullet or movement speed. But with the limited time of the jam it's probably asking for too much.
Either way I enjoyed playing the game good job!
thank you! i should've made the game faster but oh well, maybe some time later
also the idea about multiple characters is really interesting
Nice hand write like graphics
thanks!
The idea of 2 player co-op is interesting, did you experiment with manually changing characters?
Feels a bit slow to play, maybe make everything faster.
I got to wave 15, btw, purchased all of the weapons but that shotgun at the end has a bit of a long cooldown.
i did not experiment with manually changing characters. the idea is that you can't really control when characters change, so it would throw the player off. it can be annoying but that is the point of the game lol.
also yeah, i should have made the game a bit faster. maybe make the first waves slow kinda like a tutorial?
thanks for the feedback!
