How does your game fit the theme?
Tired of playing games? Try pausing one! This is a puzzle platformer where glitchy menu buttons are the only method of control, and the player is asked to become a pauser.

Loved the humor in the patch notes. Very creative gameplay. Excellent work!
Thank you! We love it when people love our game!
Thanks!!
Really creative stuff on display. Really enjoy the patch notes between each level
Thank you!!
Incredible. This is absolutely one of the best games I've seen so far in this jam. The art all looks great, the puzzles are well-made, and it feels like a complete game. The progression and pacing was smooth, and a lot of the 'bugs' were things that could feasibly happen in game development.
There were a couple times when I even tried to reset the level because I had failed the puzzle, only to have the game 'reset', which was fun.
I don't have a single bad thing to say, and I can usually find something even if it's just a tiny nitpick.
Wow, thank you so much! I definitely did that too while playtesting lol
Wow that means a lot!! Thanks :)
Thank you so much for leaving such a thoughtful review!! Actually, some of the “bugs” like the reset preserving vertical momentum were things we discovered and then kept in the game. Also, I definitely had those moments of trying to legitimately reset the level, and they always made me laugh. Because you took the time to write this, I want to present you with our concept art for one of our unused characters:
He’s a melancholy potato… I wonder what he would do if he was in the game 👀
I think this will be on the top 20, really cool idea, and very polished. Congratulations!
Here's hoping!!
Wow thanks!! Yeah we hope so RAGHHH
🤞🤞🤞 Also I really like the name “Angry Sock Games,” how’d you come up with it??
My brother tought of that. Also I payed a Fiveer and he created a very cool logo!
This is possibly the best game I've played so far in this jam! Everything about it was so charming, from the incredible devnotes to the cute art to the way the music shifts tone to match whether you have the speed boost on or not. The puzzles were also so incredibly fun and satisfying to solve. I hope you make a full release eventually!
Wow that means a lot!! Full release sounds nice
I want to make a full release too! We had a lot more designed than we had time for… 👀
Happy to hear any ideas you have!
One of the best games I’ve played in this jam so far, awesome work! Love the way the mechanics kept changing without becoming frustrating to keep track of, and the humour in the devlog.
Thank you so much! Your game is also a great puzzler, blowing stuff up with the wizard was so satisfying :)
Thank you habibi
Great concept, cute art, top game. it was hard to stop playing. and the puzzel where sometimes abit challenging. And soooo many level, real cool. Great job.
Thank youu!!
Excellent game all-round :)
Thank you Friendly Fire!!
Really great little puzzle game. Lots of nice touches like the music speeding up as you go. The developer commentary was also hilarious. Awesome job.
Haha thanks :)

Whoa! This game was so good! The humor was hilarious, the puzzle design was fantastic (I played it 'till the end and stuck through with it even when I was stuck... and I'm not even a fan of puzzle games), the art style and animation felt like a stylistic choice and not simple because it was done in a super short time, wow! This game feels completely fully realized. I think this might be the first 5/5 for everything I've given in this whole jam.
Fantastic job and good luck with the jam results. I think this is a serious contender for top 100. :)
(Definitely following this account in case you make this into a full release...)
Thanks for the kind words Cell-Talk! We're glad you enjoyed our game! I don't know if the devs behind radish boy 2 are the kind you should be supporting tho... :)
Thanks for the follow and your kind words :)
This was so good! The humor was on point too. Great use of theme.
Thank you sarathi!!
Such an interesting and fun mechanic! Definitely the most creative platformer I've played :-) Loved how the music changed with the controls as well
Thanks :)
The mechanics, art style, music, and humor were all amazing! The idea of glitched buttons to solve puzzles is so creative and paired with the matching art style and funny story/text it makes such a great game! None of the levels felt too hard either and I had a great time playing.
Thank you!!!
This game is great; I love the mechanic changes from level to level, and none of them are too hard.
Thanks!!
great concept, great execution, while still funny
Thank youuu
I got stuck lmao. But it was a really fun game! I'd love to see it fleshed out even more
Lmao me too. Thanks!
Awesome game, love the ideas in here! Lots of "aha" moments, though some bits were tricky to do right. Would love to see more of this, well done!
I really want to see more of this too! We had another button designed but ran out of time...

Stay tuned!
Thanks!! aha
Love this game. Really like the art and concept. The messages were cracking me up.
Thanks so much! Gonna check yours out now!
Thank you Smithy Games
This is like one of those kickstarter disasters where they get $300K in funding and they can't implement even the most basic of features.
At first, I wasn't sure whether the constant changing of the game mechanics was a good idea. After all, a good puzzle game is all about learning the mechanics and having later puzzles build on skills learned earlier. But I think you struck a good balance of changing the mechanics in interesting ways while not changing them too much that it feels like a different game on each level. Changing the fast forward button to affect mice instead of the players is technically a completely different mechanic, but it's similar enough that you can transfer your existing understanding. So it still works. And it all makes sense within the game's thematic context.
I had a really hard time on last level. I was able to get past the first three mice, but then I kept dying to the fourth one. I thought maybe I was missing something, but turned out I just had to be a little more precise with my timing.
Overall, this game was funny, clever, and challenging. Great work!
For playing through the whole game and leaving such a thoughtful review, I'll present you with our concept art for one of our unused characters:

He's some kind of corn vampire...
We were also worried about changing the mechanics too quickly, and if we had more time, we would definitely have more levels in between mechanic changes. Also, the last level is probably too hard, but thanks for sticking with it!
Really liked your game too!
Thank you!! Can you also give us $300K
