Cool idea! Also well executed for a jam! Bravo!!!
The ideia is very interesting and the game is very polished. My only complaint overall would be that the gameplay feels too much like original tetris, maybe with some other mechanical twist it would feel much better.
Anyways, the game is fun and very well made. Congratulations!
Great interpretation of the theme. Loved the polish as well.
Simply incredible! If I already liked Tetris before, now I like it even more! My congratulations, truly.
Fun and addictive! However, I found it a bit easy. Adding special cards would make it even better.
OOOhh special cards is an interesting idea!
Cool idea, I like the restrictions that come with having cards instead of full control over pieces (no rotating or sliding pieces in to a small spot, to name a few). I personally found the difficulty to be too easy and I never died with a score of about $15,000,000, at a certain point rounds could speed up from the initial 6 seconds which would help the pacing and difficulty. The card pricing was a nice to the gameplay for influencing my block choice. I do like the playing card styled tiles with the randomly generated names, that is a really nice touch for the theming of the game! Overall great work, I think the concept and execution are very solid!
Hey thanks for leaving such a nice comment! I am definitely gonna add the difficulty ramping, difficulty has been the primary issue reported. What are jam's for, if not for rapid playtesting
Really cool game! Very polished for a 48 hour game jam game, and the concept is cool, but I wish there was more of a manager vibe to the game. maybe more things to control, or maybe we had to send the wrong pieces to screw over an AI (The Player) who places them to get more points. The less points the player gets, the more you get. I hope this gets developed further, could be a really cool mobile game!
Hey thunks for playing! I agree, it'd be nice to have some additional managerial things, maybe I could add in some mini-games! I am always quite conservative with scope in a jam, but I am planning an update and love to hear what people are wanting!
I dont get the manager aspect. But it is tetris
I'm actually shocked that you are the first person to ask this! I was going for the card-based player drafting system from games like FIFA, and I think football manager, but I've never played any of those games so it's more of a vague homage, than a clear reference. I don't know if you actually wanted to know that, but now you do!
Pretty well polished for a 48 hour game. The card names are unique and amusing.
Nicely balanced!
The concept is amazing! Really enjoyed it! Wish there can have a place to collect the tetris pieces names I brought!
Very interesting idea. I would say to go further, but don't want to mess with Nintendo. lol.
This is a fun twist on Tetris. The art is fantastic, and the cards consistently give the player exciting decisions.
So much fun
This is easily among one of my favorite Tetris mechanic twist, great job! Some ideas you can probably make use to ramp up the difficulty is have a garbage line increasing overtime, would love to see the return of the hold feature!
oooh that's a really good idea! Maybe that could be a use for the money you are getting!
Oh no, my T-Spins.
Surprisingly challenging, I never realized how much I relied on have like "I" pieces in tetris before. It's a fun game and a pretty funny concept!
Too easy, and would have loved to see a 'player' actually moving the tiles around after you send them.
I didn't know being able to choose which tetromino to place can be this challenging. Very interesting!
Another great approach on the tetris-theme and completely different than ours! Very addictive and surprisingly polished for just 48 h. Great work.
