Challenging game but made it to the end! There’s a few things that made it a bit frustrating, but I think when ironed out it could be very fun c:
the art is so clean and great! Both the win and lose image cards are so good! It got difficult towards the end but winning was so exciting. We played as a group and all shouted when we got to the end. Great work! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ long live king gorbin
Just lovely! Nice job!
Funny, short little game that looks professionally-made
- It would have been appreciated if there would have been some sort of a title-screen, and if the controls would have been also explained within the game itself
- You really should be able to pick up the little minions from any single angle
Such impressive animation and sprite work!
I have a soft spot for weighty momentum-based platformers. The control felt very accurate to the character. The most difficult thing to grasp was not being able to jump when throwing minions -- that killed me a couple of times -- but I got the hang of it.
I appreciate the detail of squashing minions when jumping on them -- I was not expecting that!
Good work!
A fun and charming game! Excellent presentation but the player moment feels a bit off
Fantastic graphics and gameplay, however I don't think the player movement feels good. It need some UX enhancements, such as some audible and visual signals for moving and jumping.
Adjust the camera position a little bit to show more of the level in front.
Good job!
Wow, what a cool game!
The art really sold me. First death was because I thought it was a cinematic!
The bridge had me dying a few times because I got split on the decision on throwing minions and staying safe.
Neatly put together, funny and intuitive visuals. good job on building up the characters, you could feel who they were.
Good work! I like your interpretation of the theme.
And Goblings are smashed when you jump on them :))
Very impressive! I know a lot of teams went with some variation of the "you are the boss" idea, but this is definitely one of the better games to come of it. You've got a great visual style that gives it so much charm!
Nice work! I really liked the art work. The little crown bounce details in the jump looked great. And had a good laugh on being able to flatten the little guys.
Aw the poor little gorblins!
Very awesome game and take on the theme! I really like the art-style and design of everything. Looked really good. The gameplay was good to. I wonder though if maybe there should be a little more easy or at least some sort of buffer, like maybe you can take three hits of damage instead instantly dying from everything.
Still though very cool and a great entry into the jam!!
Lovely artwork, fun little game!
I never got to the end :( But still a good game
It's certainly tough! With the short window, we had limiting time to playtest, but I promise it is possible! Let us know if you beat it, and thanks for the feedback!
It's okay, I also have a problem with a difficult ending in the game )
The art is AMAZING!!! Everything is so full of life, I LOVE it!
Thank you so much!!
art style is pretty good, i like these animations, but what wrong with walls?
Thanks for the feedback! Mind clarifying on the issue with the walls?
I wish there were more space to jump around, since I constantly cling at the edge of the screen. But it was a great concept! I like it.
Thank you for the comment! Believe it or not the movable space was actually smaller beforehand, so I guess it's good that we made it larger!
Absolutely loved the art style! I was on the edge of my seat, barely avoiding defeat, when I took a daring leap near a goon and unexpectedly ended up smashing it. 10/10 would smash it again.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad you had fun and crushed our goons!
