I really enjoyed the game! It was fun solving puzzles by manipulating things on such completely different scales, like atoms and stars. It took me a little while to understand that the order in which you acquire atoms affects your success.
Thanks for the review! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it! And sorry if it wasn't clear that the order of the atoms matters.
cool
Thanks!
Wonderful game, I really enjoyed playing through the levels - definitely felt like the 2nd to last level saw the highest spike in difficulty, but it was really enjoyable!
The controls were simple & clear, and the whole game felt very responsive - great job on all the little details, like the scaling animations!
And it's always nice to see a fellow voxelised game, beautiful aesthetic - both in visuals and music!
Thank you so much for the review!! I'm really glad that you enjoyed it!! :D
This was such a fun puzzle game! You did a fantastic job fitting the theme, and with such polish too!
Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear that! :)
love the puzzles, really creative, and the art style is just amazing !
maybe one remark, with this of a level in game design and developement(the character controller is just perfect) i would have expect the use of input system to support french layout
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
However, I don't really understand your suggestion, input system to support french layout?? What do you mean?
Thank you anyways for the review!! :D
basically, as a french, i'm using the french keyboard, wich use a azerty instead of qwerty layout, 99% of the time the problem with gaming is that the classic wasd become zqsd, i'm assuming you didn't knew about that, so maybe that's something interesting for you in the future, unity input system is normally handling this, means that if you type for example "Z" in a french layout, the game consider it by it's position on the keyboard, so it will be considered the same input as a "W" from an english layout
Ah okay I investigated it. If I haven't read wrong, obviously not everybody uses QWERTY keyboard, so some users don't use WASD because of the position of those keys. It's true that I mapped the controls to the Key Character insted of the Key Position. My bad, I didn't know about this problem.
I'll have it in mind next time I develop a WASD controller. Thanks for telling me!! Otherwise I wouldn't have known about this! :D
ah sorry i just spent 30 minutes replying but i didn't saw your answer X), yeah that's totally this, i think that's a good point you can keep in mind for the future, for us french game dev, this feature is a bit "obvious" because we just can't dev games without it(because majority got a WASD) but ifyou are using the english layout it's normal you may not have heard about it, anyway, happy to give some unusual feedbacks :)
PS : no matter your layout, you can play our game, just in case you get interested 😁
Very good puzzle design and character controlls. Super polished and really fun to play. Great game!
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that! :D
The game is so charming ! Some good puzzles and cute character movement ! I would prefer if you could queue up event like changing the tides and freeze at the same time and not having to wait in between.
Great Game !
Yeah, a lot of people told me that, I should queue up the moon-sun events.
Thanks for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
This is the most creative game I played so far! Mind-blowing interpretation of the theme. It also has great potential to be used as an educational game in schools. If I were a kid, I'd love this!
Thank you so much!! This kind of comments really motivate me to keep doing games!
I'm glad you liked it!! <3
I'll check out your game now! :)
This is an incredibly well polished puzzle game. My main complaint is that avoiding the anions in the atom levels was probably harder than it should be, because you can't judge distance very well from that camera angle.
Yeah, the problem was that they didn't have shadow, so it was hard to identify their height. Anyways, I hope you managed to complete it and enjoy it!! Thanks for the review :)
Really cool and fun game! Nice!
Happy to hear that!!
Awesome game. I can see a real game on mobile from it in the near future! Congrats to you!
Thank you so much!! I might consider it! :)
Very Very nice game, but I was stuck at the level with the gasoline because I couldn’t get up again :/
Wait what? Can you describe your problem a little bit more? I'll be glad to help you solve it and have a better experience! :)
I couldn’t get the water to rise even after I pulled the moon in, Perhaps it was because I pulled both the sun and the moon together before I shrinked again?
Yeah you cannot pull both at the same time! The tutorial says that frozen water cant be moved. However I should have explained it better. Thank you anyways and consider giving it another try!
Very nice take on the theme! The sun & moon mechanic felt slightly tedious, since you need to switch to a different mode, drag something, switch back, and only then see the result, which breaks the problem-solving flow a little bit. At some of the “atomic” levels it’s really hard to see the further parts of it - it took me quite a while to make the gasoline molecule (see the screenshot). And, yeah, water, acid and gasoline are molecules, not atoms :)
Anyways, congrats with your submission, I quite enjoyed it! I’d be happy if you tried my game as well: https://lisyarus.itch.io/color-fractory
Oh thanks for our review!! I'm sorry that you had troubles solving that.
Also, I didn't realize I wrote atom instead of molecule, I now feel dumb hahahah
Of couse I'll play yor game now!! :)
I like the game a lot, especially the designing, but I seems to be facing some problem at level 4, the micro world can not form a gasoline molecule. There are other elements blocking the way, please tell me how to pass that level.
Hi! I'm sorry to hear that!
You need to get to the top platforms by using the right ramp. Then, go all the way to the left by walking in front of the red atom, and finally, drop down from the platform located at the left of the ramp with the blue atom on top. You don’t actually have to use that final ramp, it's a trick.
Consider replaying it! You can start directly in the level 4 with the main menu. I hope this helps you! I'll be here if you have any dobut.
You can also skip the level from the main menu if you want. You have a stage selector.
I really hope thath you can enjoy the rest of the game!
Thanks.
Thank you, I have figure it out now, before I just can not get around the red atom on the platform.
So you did it, right? Glad to hear that!! Consider modifying your rating if so :)
Awesome take on the theme. Also, it is very well executed with nice graphics, snappy controls, lots of content, great tutorial. I always know what the game wants from me – and this also felt great. But what I loved the most was the absurdity of some stuff—like why the heck do I need to move Earth and Moon? Who cares? It is just cool. I played for 15 minutes straight and had lots of fun.
Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked it!
And about the moon, the closer it gets, the higher the tides go, that's actually real haha
Very smart take on the theme! Puzzles work well together with the mechanics, it has potential to become a full game, Great job.
Thanks!! I'm planning to add new levels once the jam is over!
Very cool idea with a lot of potential! The animations of scaling are well made although I wish they would take less time (especially the animation of going into space - sometimes you have to do it multiple times in a row, which can get tideous). Alternative idea would be to somehow apply the effect of changing the state of the sun and the moon in the same order you changed them (what I mean is if the player moved the moon closer and after that moved the sun far away he would come back to see the water rise and only after that get frozen). It probably wouldn't benefit the game artistically, but it would save the player from having to go in-and-out multiple times.
The mini-puzzle levels inside the buckets are also really fun. Great job!
Yeah doing the moon-sun effects in order is a pretty clever solution to the problem, I actually didn't think about that!
Thank you! I hope you enjoyed it!
This was soo good on so many levels. Fits the theme, is well polished and engaging, actually teaches you stuff. IMO this should be extended with more interactions, voice over and made into a complete education game for kids. Well done 5/5
Thank you so much!! I'll be glad to add more levels or mechanics once the jam is over :)
Great work! The game is super polished with interesting puzzles! The celestial parts felt a bit tedious towards the end, but the super smooth animations made it worth all the clicks and dragging.
Thanks!!! :D
