Ended up playing the entire thing, the gun catching onto the environment was a good addition.

Tyvm!! Happy to hear you played it all the way through and liked my art :D

Fantastic music and sprite art, so dynamic! The level design was very clever in creating nice metroidvania style return pathing without ever getting lost.

Developer

Thank you very much! :D
Our level designer worked hard!

wow! this is by far the most impressed i've been by a game so far, the slow build up is so incredibly cool. the only thing i can criticize is that i never felt like i was solving a puzzle, but that's me assuming your design intention. and despite that the game still felt so exciting to play, easily my favourite ive seen !!

Developer

!! Thank you so much! Those are some very kind words. :)
We appreciate the feedback and are very happy you enjoyed it! :D

Wow! The pixel art is wonderful and the level design is really good. I wish there were some enemies to fight too, I don’t know if that would make it harder to traverse though. Amazing entry :D

Thank you very much! :D

This has some incredibly clever level design, you never get lost despite all the backtracking you do. It might be my favorite game of the jam I've played so far.

Does the first gun play daft punk as you shoot it? 🤔Not sure if I'm just imagining Harder Better Faster Stronger, but I love how musical it is nonetheless

Developer(+1)

Thank you kindly!!! Really appreciate the kind words and I'm happy you enjoyed it :)

It plays random notes on the scale of the bgm.

So for all we know yours could have randomly played Daft Punk ahahaha.

Very cool game! Finished it. The idea is pretty clever, and fits the theme really well, it is simple yet beautiful. Elegant.

We considered naming it "scale-a-ton" haha.

Just amazing. The game feels incredibly good to play. Great art, level design, concept and sound. Super satisfying. I just wish there were more things to do in the rooms as they feel a bit emtpy. Congrats!

Developer

Great metroidvania design, intresting puzzles and awesome guns art.

Hey, thanks! Glad you liked it :D

Managed to finish! Great game, love the idea of the map changing depending on the gun size. Maybe add some secrets in the different rooms and enemies or something to raise the stakes.

Developer

Thanks! Happy you finished it! :D
Secrets could be cool.

Cool idea that I can't go anywhere with any weapon. Makes you think about how to plot a route to the target

Thanks!! :)

Super fun concept and awesome level design. Upgrading your gun each time was very satisfying. For sure one of my favorites.

Developer

Thank you Sid! Appreciate your kind words!!
Cheers!

Very fun game. The levels flowed well and I always knew where to go. You distilled the feeling of a metroidvania so well.

Developer

Thanks a bunch! That's all thanks to @NoamP's meticulous level design. :)

Literally a mini metroidvania. I love how his jumps get more and more difficult the larger his gun becomes, it's great.

Developer

Thank you! :D

Wow I think I've found my favorite game in the jam. Across the board near perfect execution. The puzzles were challenging but fun, the art and music are spectacular, and the premise is unique and catching. Definitely could see this developed into a full game. My only points of critique are that it takes a while before you figure out exactly what the game is. I spent quite a while wandering around waiting to find out what I was supposed to do and shoot. And, that the cute little doots of the first gun go away so quick! I was having so much fun dooting! Excellent job, you should be very proud!

Developer

Thank you so much!!! Your kind words mean a lot to us, very happy you enjoyed it. :)
We 100% agree about your points of critique, we have those two things noted to change after the jam. ^ ^
