Thiccc fortress. I liked the visuals - felt like it was being played on a CRT monitor.
Really satisfying ship combat game, and the scale of the fortress was quite immense. The dash of the ship after an evade felt as though it threw you a little too fast, but overall the combat was quite fun and really sold the lone shooter dealing with an giant obstacle really made it feel like a fight against the odds. Excellent work.
Thanks!
We wanted successful evades to feel really important, spectacular and satisfying, hence the significant speed boost. We acknowledge that it can be a little hard to control sometimes, but all in all worth it. Plus it creates some cool moments just barely steering away from obstacles at the last second.
Also we play with FOV to make it seem faster than it actually is :]
amazing work!!
Awesome visuals, really creative take on the theme! It was really fun playing this entry! Awesome job!
I really really really love how big this fortress feels!! Fantastic work! Perfect score from me!
this was so sick!!!!!!!!!!! :}}}
Yoooo thank you!
Also your pfp looks cool
Very cool, The game is fun and beautiful, congratulations for this game jam !
This Game is very nice, but I'm not very good at it ^^'
This looks absolutely fantastic - everything from the plane and fortress models, the screen shader and the skybox just looks perfect and creates a really oppressive atmosphere that I couldn't get enough of.
Moving the plane feels great, with the freedom of roll and pitch making me really feel like a fighter pilot.
I found timing dodges tricky to pull off, leading to a few early deaths
cool art and atmosphere!
stylistically amazing game, very well done!
Very unique and great style, the evade mechanic is very juicy, Good Job.
Wow, i really amazed by look of this game, nice job!
Sick game! I really like your use of the 3d space!
Really nice air combat game, really impressed that this came out of a gamejam.
Would be very grateful if you tried our game!
This is incredibly well done. So much fun, and the polish is unlike any other game I've seen in this jam. Only thing I would change is instead of only being able to pitch and roll, is to also add yaw. Otherwise, one of the most fun experiences I've had during this jam. Amazing job!
The evade effect is super satisfying, but felt like I didn't really know when the sweet spot was to actually pull it off.
Would have like to actually see my projectiles do damage instead of fly off-screen.
Those are my only complaints. The game looks majestic, controls were great, sound was on point.
That is true, the evade timing is a tad hard to read. Maybe we could add a little circular VFX expanding from the player upon using a dodge to show the radius of its effect.
Also the player's projectiles were imagined as bombs meant to be used at low altitude. We actually already gave them a bit of forward momentum to help with visibility. Do you have any idea on how to better fix this issue?
In any case, your compliments are really touching, and your critiques are on point and constructive, thank you~
ok dude... This game was amazing, my #1 pick this jam, holy Sh** the style and sounds when turning, and the ship was sooo sick!! I was like this is already amazing just wish there was like a boost, then i hit my first evade and had the biggest smile, super good job do you have a discord?
Ahah warms my heart reading this ! I personally do have one, it's "gigot"
Yup, discord is matt_rhu!
I am *so* happy to hear you enjoyed it so much :]
This game is EPIC!
Nice arcade game (I literally tried it on arcade stick and it was very enjoyable)
Glad you enjoyed it!
(Also I'm amazed it supports arcade sticks, I imagine unity processes it as a gamepad)
