good take on the theme, love the visuals

Couldn't even get through the first level. Please make it more simple.

Developer

Might be due to your screen resolution! Unfortunately, we were having a difficult time getting unity to work for us and it placed the squidge sliders way off screen if your screen resolution is high for some reason. Sorry it wasn't working for you!

The movement could use some work to make it smoother, otherwise its a nice little puzzle game!

The slider for size dispaeared when I resterted the lvl and couldn't get it to show up again

Developer

Frustrating! Sorry about that. Thanks for checking our game out, though! Loved your entry :)

Got kinda stuck on the second last level until I found the bit of ground on the left I could control.

Great ending, love the music!

It blew my mind that you could control the ground in some levels; however, I only figured it out by accident, and it seems rather random what objects are interactable each level. Maybe highlighting these objects would help.

Developer

We considered making it more obvious, but I feel like part of the fun is searching for things and suddenly finding something new you can control :) I was a little worried that the ground ones might be difficult, which is why the second level forces you to figure out that you can manipulate terrain sometimes, and extendable parts of the floor are always visually disconnected from the rest. Guess it could still be a bit more visually distinct though! Thanks for the feedback, I liked your game by the way :)

Nicely thought out game. Good use of physics. Love the character and graphics. Few glitches that could do with being ironed out and the control could be a little better but in the time allowed, a very good, very playable and addictive game :)

Developer

We would have liked to get the controls tighter too, but c'est le gamejam. So glad you enjoyed the puzzles! :)

the way you used the theme is impressive, what I would like is a clearer indicator of what can and cannot be clicked for resize and another other thing  has already been said that pressing keys for resize thing is better but I see it causes some issues

Developer(+1)

We partly liked the idea of an aspect of the puzzles being the exploration of the environment--clicking around and seeing what you can do. We originally even had several jokes we were going to include where objects could be clicked but did unexpected or silly things, like a box that you'd otherwise think could be resized but instead can be squidged to become sad.

But I agree that it can be frustrating when the tools to solve the puzzle you're being asked to work on aren't clearly presented. If we were to flesh the concept out more that would definitely be a good area to try to refine further.

the idea is interesting but controls could use a rework

nice submission!

Developer

Thanks :)

Nice puzzles it'd be nice if you could press some keys to resize the objects too like q and e or something

Developer(+2)

We did try that originally, but we found it led to changing sizes too quickly which casued more collision issues, so we opted for clicking to slow things down! Glad you liked the puzzles :)

Nice puzzles and a great style

Developer

Thanks :)

Nice concept. Love the art, music and general feel. I like the way the physics work like if you're small and the object is big you can't push it. You could do some interesting things with this. I Love the ending.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed! You can download the OST here if you liked the music :)

as mentioned below, there's quite a few bugs, but i can definitely imagine the types of issues you were running into! i think having a puzzle or two that *required* you to launch yourself up when scaling something up, because that's an interaction that actually works! i loved the ending, too

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The ending's my personal favourite part too :)

Nice Idea, it is a little bit subotimal, that the size scroller moves out the window

Developer

Yeah, the screen shrank a little when we uploaded.  A bit of a pain but at least it's still beatable :)

The art style is great and the mechanic is clean besides some bugs. You did great with the time that was given.

Also would appreciate it if you rated our game jam submission also its called "Factory Frenzy"

Submitted(+2)

cool game ! the later levels used the mechanic pretty interestingly , although there were issues with physics objects clipping into the ground when they were scaled while touching which was a problem sometimes

Developer

Yeah, I discovered Unity really hates dynamically scaling colliders... Spent a few hours trying to stop the clipping, but ran out of time. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Cool art and general feeling. This game of corse respect the theme of the jam very well. Just one thing, in the first level i move the box outside the window and i could not see the resize gizmos so i was stuck for some time.

Developer

Yeah didn't get time to fix that bug unfortunately, glad you liked it though!

Very cute character!

Thanks! All the art and music was made from scratch :)
