How does your game fit the theme?
The game uses the mechanic of changing the mass of stars to change the direction the spaceship travels in. This fits the theme because as stated in the video, the game may include some form of size manipulation which is important to the central gameplay.

Really cool game, loved it, my only complain is that the slider is too uncomfortable for being such a core mechanich. Really enjoyed it very creative!

Developer

thank you! and sorry about the slider.

Really cool concept and use of the theme! Like other's have said, wish the slider was bigger or attached to the scroll wheel? Either way a great entry!!

Developer(+1)

thank you for the feedback and the comment! much appreciated!

The stars look great and I love the front cover black hole. The sounds are great and the gameplay is a creative. Unique take on the theme great job. :D

Developer

Thank you :)

Really neat idea, and the aesthetics were lovely and crisp! I would make the gravity slider a bit bigger to make it easier to click on, but otherwise this was a solid game!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I agree. The slider could have been done a lot better in many ways.

Really really cool control scheme, I love how complex the attraction is and the fall off for launching the ship toward the zone feels so satisfying, it took a bit of practice to get but your tutorial helps alot!

Developer

Thank you!

Very creative, and it looks beautiful. But I just found the sliders quite awkward to control. For me, I think, some keyboard controls to resize the stars would have felt easier.

Well done though !

Developer

I agree. I should have gone with scroll wheel and optimized it to make it work.

Great concept and nice art.

As someone already mentioned, the slider wasn't the best interface for changing the size and could make it a bit frustrating.

FWIW, after I beat level 7 I got a crash (I think level 8 doesn't exist?). Also the start of level 7 is a bit too slow to want to try it again and again 😅

But overall I had great fun!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

A bit odd to hear about that crash. A few friends I had playtest it were able to make it to Level 8. Either way, sorry about the glitches.

Nice concept, pretty great visuals, controls are decent. I kinda suck at it tho

Developer(+1)

thank you! and don't worry, the controls are kinda bad on my end. you're fine.

The slider really could have more easy interface, such as using the mouse roller to adjust it, it's a pretty good concept, it could also be good if I can change the direction of the rocket facing only at the start then you can after that, not sure if that would mess up the puzzle though. the slider is just the one problem imo. Great job making this game by the way.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. The issue with changing the heading of the rocket is yes it makes the puzzles a lot easier as you can simply take any path to the green portal, which would make level design trickier.

Funny you mention the mouse roller, that was the original control for changing size. I decided to change this as the slider allowed for more rapid size changes.

Submitted

rapid size change, it's kinda fininky, don't you think? Probably just my mouse or somethin

Developer

you're right. it definitely is.

Great concept! I think the gameplay could use some fleshing out, specifically about how you scale the stars, since the scroll bar seemed too small and also too difficult to use while moving. I think you are onto something with this idea though, so if you keep it up after the jam you will have something special!

Developer

Appreciate it! I do like this concept however I have seen better implementations in this very jam. For my next game I want to take a more storytelling oriented approach.

As you can see on my game, I really dig the concept haha! Nice work, I enjoyed your game very much. It's extremely hard.

Developer(+1)

Woah, awesome game man! I really dig the gameplay. And thank you for your comment!

Submitted(+1)

This game was really hard but very fun and addicting. I'd love to see it developed further

Developer

Thank you! How far did you get?

very cool very rewarding when you finish a level reclicking the slider every time and having to slide it instead of just clocking on the point where i wanted it to be was kind of frustrating, still very fun one of the best I played so far

Developer

ahh that seems to be a pretty big issue. apologies for the oversight!

Submitted(+1)

Nice. Love the idea and the application. Only issue for me was having to reclick the slider every time I died.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. That was quite the oversight on my part, apologies!
