Short, unique and fun game!

A but disappointed there isn't an ending (that I know of) given the infinite nature of the game, since I loved the intro cutscene!

I like the fact that the balls reaching a spot close to the center was random, so sometimes either Joe or Dad will miss with a medium-sized hole, as well as the speed increase over time, which spices up the gameplay in a simple but effective way.

Well done!

Thanks for the feedback!

Honestly you are right about the ending, but given that the game only ends with losing.. I am still thinking about a way we can make a good ending haha, perhaps in a post jam version for sure.

Great interface, great setup - very outside-the-box approach to the theme. Wonderful submission

I was too sus! I love how wacky this is. Things got pretty crazy dealing with the balls and the bugs.

Submitted(+3)

A great concept! I love the humour and character, and the gameplay was easy to understand and satisfying.

Nice game : the concept is cool. It's fun to add a leaderboard. Good job !

I got sus-ed too quickly! And holy, there are so many competitive players!

Such a simple but polished game, and it gave me a good laugh too. I was thinking the ant would bite me and the sus gauge would skyrocket ^^

It's fun, hard to manage the two size of the game, and yeah your scaling the hole to do what you have to do

Submitted(+2)

This is a really creative game; the mechanics add a lot to it.

Sadly, I didn’t make it to the leaderboard.

Congrats!

Really fun jam entry! The stupid bugs are such a smart mechanic - always kept me on my toes! Best run I got was a 10, and to the person on the leaderboard with a 48... o7

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

10 is actually pretty nice! ~the person who got 48 XD

I love your game, it is really cool idea and the story and all the visuals are great! I was confused with the color of the balls, most of the time I was not sure which balls I'm supposed to catch and to figure out the controls was a bit of challenge, but I didn't read the description. Good job everyone!

Glad you liked it.
I added a "Read the short how-to-play bellow if stuck" banner to make sure this happens less. Thanks!

pretty cool game! the controls were a bit hard to figure out (but thats probably on me for not reading the description)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

yea fair enough, I added a "Read the short how-to-play bellow if stuck" banner to make sure this happens less.

Creative concept, though it was a bit confusing at first where I lost very quickly before I figured out how to control the hole and how to not be sus. I wish the balls stayed blue and red instead of turning white again. I didn't enjoy the ant mechanic when I was focused on the speeding balls.

The best strategy seems to be to very quickly grow and shrink the hole and then return to a normal size, as the sus meter only goes up if you stay an unusual size for more than a second. You can also stay at a decently large size where both players score to let the sus meter fade back down.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! yeah the balls changing colors is a bit of a taste thing, def both sides are valid. The ant is annoyinggg but ig it ensures that the player doesn’t get too accustomed to the rhythm? You are def right about the strategy! that’s what I did, and it’s a bit memorizable once you reach the max difficulty! And also cool idea about staying at a certain size! It works a bit less on the high rounds as balls tend to be a bit far from the hole but it def works 100% for idk the first 20 (:

Love the art,sfx and the idea! I got like 6 but its harder than it seems

Submitted(+3)

That made me laugh! I loved your style and wished I was good at multitasking to actually get those ants out quickly :D
I guess my score is 7 or 8, once i get there, the balls just be soo fast that I cannot handle it, I wanna see how the first place got +20 point >_<
note// (you may see another comment i did yesterday, but it's not showing up on itch) :"D

Well done guys! keep it up! ^^

Developer(+1)

Thanks! yeah the ants do be annoying!

7 or 8 is actually a pretty nice score! as for scoring higher, there is a cap on the difficulty so the game stays playable, though that doesn’t mean you can go on infinitely! there are infinite tricky situations that just become more probable to happen the more you play!

Thanks for trying the game <3

Really creative idea with awesome execution! Well done. Great sfx too

Thank  you for playing!

Damn, what a creative game. Had me laughing the "hole" time after I figured out the Sus Meter.

I'd love to see more greens with hills and curved balls and everything. So much fun. Thank you for making this game.

Developer

Haha thanks for playing.

We might make a post-jam version, taking notes!

11 people is wild dude!

I host a game development club too this inspires me to do an event like this in our server sometime lol

Great game guys!

Developer

Indeed! The trade off between having multiple people working on a project and having to keep it together to not turn into a mess is so real. I think this is why there's no limit on how bit the team can be.

YES! You should def do that. This was super fun.

Thank you for playing!
