This game is absolutely cute! I played it with some friends and we had a blast! The music is so cute and the difficulty is more than I expected which was a welcome change with puzzlers of this type. I was so proud when I got the whale! I can't wait for more levels!
Yay! I caught the whale! Very much enjoyed playing through this one - it gets pretty tough in the middle there, felt like I had a big run of only GIANT fish. Had fun discovering all the different fish types, and the visuals and controls were very polished. Plus, the sound effects fit very well. All-in-all, an excellent entry, great work!
I might be bad at the game but it doesn't take from the great artstyle and fun gameplay. great job
I got stuck in the claws of the crab... I didn't expect to be so bad at this game XD
Very cute artwork, but I feel that the unique shapes of the fishes could be used in more interesting ways, maybe packing them into boxes?
What a lovely game! I loved the gameplay and it felt very relaxing. I loved how unique the later fish got. It was really fun getting to each new area and seeing the new batch of available fish. You all did an awesome job!
just gonna paste the notes i made while playing!
- really cute, relaxing, fun - music is a really nice touch and simplistic enough that i never got sick of it
- would be nice to put a bit more juice or strategy into fishing - maybe the better i do the bigger fish i catch, so i have some level of choice over what size i get, but ive got limited bait so i cant just pick little ones forever?
- feels like the game spends a little too long in the first layer - its a little too familiar
- really liked the weirdness of the platform challenge i found myself inadvertently planning, building myself into corners with weird fish
- i dont rly like how the tetris blocks can stick on the sides of the tower
- love the art and presentation of this, and how the weird blocks are designed to link into eachother
- really enjoyed anticipating what the next wave of even weirder fish would be
- sadly i found it pretty easy to softlock myself - ik theres meant to be a way to undo mistakes but i couldnt remember it during gameplay and there wasnt any reminders of it? i figured out it was z eventually haha
- really appreciated how puzzly it got later on to plan out a route upwards
- i think it would have been nice for the fish choices to come in a specific order, so that if i undo'd id still have to deal with the same blocks, just in a different way, and i cant just continually reroll for what i need
- i also think there being some check to prevent repeatedly getting the same blocks would be nice
- the camera slowly zooming out felt really helpful as i moved upwards - but i think you could have done it more! i found myself running out of screenspace a bit later on
- favourite moment - just about perfectly positioning an angler fish's lightbulb to get me out of a pit
- theres a little bit of getting over it in here which i liked
- i enjoyed how old fish that were annoying when you first discovered them would come back later and be super helpful
- LOVED that the camera zoomed all the way down at the end - that was something id written in my notes as a suggestion! was rly nice to see the full journey like that
- this rly felt like a proper adventure game while staying simple... rly nice work
Very nice game. I love the silly looking fishes in all kinds of shape. Managed to get myself stuck in the middle of the crab and locked myself in while jumping and clicking.
Love love love love love this game. It drags on a bit in the middle, especially before there are hot air balloons and stars and I don't know how much progress I'm making, but the fishies are so well designed and I love how we essentially make our own parkour challenges. I just wish I could take a screenshot of the whole beautiful fish jenga tower at the end.

A tower made of fish lol. Silly and fun game, the visuals and music are great and the sound effects are very fitting. Great job!
Nice little game! I think the game was best when about 2/3rds in because the larger fish made you have to think about where you needed to put them, and if you didn't have quite the right placement you had to hope for a smaller fish to compensate. The fish designs were fun; I loved the frilly ones and the orange/white eel made me laugh when it came up. Music was relaxing & appropriate.
This is such a cute game. The concept is great, the art is great, the exotic fish are great. I made a lot of use abusing the fact that I could jump and place fish beneath me, which didn't feel entirely intended but was fun. I think the mechanic did get repetitive after and awhile and slightly overstayed its welcome, and you could've made the game about 30% shorter (increasing the speed at which you encounter new fish to compensate, of course).
It felt like there should've been some sort of visual effect when you were fishing (Maybe a portal opens up and you cast the line into the portal? or maybe you cast a gravity-less lure off the edge of the screen?), but I'm sure if you'd had more time you would've added something for that.
Absolutely love the graphics of this one! The fish designs just kept on getting better and better higher up you go which is really cool! On an unrelated note, the jumping sound kinda jumpscared me since it's the same one that my game uses lol
Help, I lost my fishing cat in space, sources saw the cat surrounded by giant baby octopi (Great game, love the puzzle!)
Nice Game with some stunning visuals and and a cool concept ! It became way more challenging when I couldn't abuse of the jump strat ! It is really well made !
A beautifully simple little platforming/puzzle game that had me hooked from start to finish! The perfect Game Jam game!
I loved everything about this game. The music was great, the fish designs were excellent, the light platforming/puzzle elements fit with the tone perfectly, and I am a sucker for any kind of fishing game. I loved it whenever I fished up and new fish and got to see what it looks like.
It was so smart to have the camera pan down at the end to appreciate the fish tower we made while climbing
My only minor issue with the game was not knowing when it will end after I believe I had seen all the fish in it. Some kind of indicator that I was close, specifically before I was able to see the sky colors changing, would have helped.
However, I can't say enough good things about this game. Great job!
Wow, it just kept going! Every time the sky changed color I thought this is the end :) Very relaxing game. Beautiful art. Amazing ending. Great experience overall!
Wow. Honestly the perfect jam game. Simple and fun, super polished. I was hooked the whole time. Really beautiful!
A very engaging, straightforward game. The art is very cute and the entire experience seemed fairly polished and forgiving of player mistakes. It was fun to figure out new orientations and I was always looking forward to new fish. Good stuff and truly amazing for the dev time.
A polished, original take on this gamejam! I saw you pass by on the discord and you're right, your team should be very proud!
