I really dig the idea of changing size and your enemies as well. It was a bit difficult to tell what I was supposed to be shooting when I was the dragon. Also as soon as I spawned in, I died because I didn't realize the enemy was behind me and immediately shooting at me. The concept was very cool though. Congrats and good luck!
Thank you
Interesting!
Being shot immediatly after spawning by an ennemy that is behind is a... bold choice? After some balancing, and with a bit of refining on the graphics, it could be an awesome jam game.
The only bold thing is assuming that was a choice lol. I rushed the game so I didn't have time to implement a shield cooldown when you start the game. Thanks for the review
good game, hard, but doable, couldnt figure out how to go up to the floating part tho. and the bullet graphics are great.
You can get there by being enlarged, then standing on the platform in the middle and vaulting there
I really like the idea of this but as others have said I struggled to stay alive for more than a couple of seconds
Aside from the obvious balancing issues (which people have brought up), the mechanic of getting to scale up and become the boss is fun.
I did encounter a bug where after the second time of be scaling down I was unable to hit the boss.
When scaled up I got stuck on level geometry a bit and also found it hard to find the little boss.
Other then that, this game is fun and addicting
Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the balancing is way off, I didn't even bother trying to balance it. I think what might have happened to you on the second time is that you had to hunt the shield and destroy it, I was rushing the end and didn't have time to implement anything to signal the shield being up. I also forgot to mention that if you get stuck while enlarged you can press U to teleport to the center of the map.
So interesting mechanic!
10/10 terrifying
Really cool idea! The game is really fast paced haha, and I'm all for it. The music is very fitting, and I love the art as well.
Thank you
I like this concept a lot, though I find it funny I was far more terrified of the monsters when I was the big one lol.
I agree that the player spawning facing away from the monster when health is this incredibly low is a bit too much though lol
Fair point, I saw others express it.
Looking back I should have added an invulnerability cooldown whenever you start the game so you get a change to run away, right now the only strat is to start bhopping the moment your computer loads the scene
It's a fun idea. Turning the tables and becoming the giant boss feels great, even though I still dies in a matter of seconds x)
Maybe orienting the player towards the enemy at the start would be a nicer introduction.
Yeah, calling the game unbalance would be an understatement of incredible scale. I see a lot of people saying how the player isn't facing the enemy and when I was "playtesting" it never even came up to my monki brain to change the rotation of the player lol
Rare to see a 3D game in a game jam! A bit buggy though and maybe a bit too difficult for me lol.
I agree with the difficulty part, I spent 0 seconds balancing it and even I barely get past wave 9 and I know where all the pickups are!
Also curious to hear about the bugs that you found.
Perhaps not entirely a bug but when I “scale up” the “dragon” (which is just some round object?) just seems to disappear and I didn’t know where I was shooting at. Perhaps it’s just a perspective thing and I wasn’t able to wrap my head around the game in the short time I spent with it.
LMAO when you scale up the enemy becomes tiny and runs around the map, I should have made it more clear. You can follow the trail of bullets that it's shooting at you to find it (you can also shoot these bullets to deal double damage)
