Fun little platformer, I'm not sure if after finishing level 1 ir shoudl load level 2, but the game stopped working for me. Liked the idea of making sword longer or shorter to kill enemies in range in exchange for stamina.

I really liked the concept of tactically switching between swords! However, the game froze once when I reached the first checkpoint and then again on the next level when I fell down the water :(
my game has a similar concept but you change the scale of your bullets plus the damage, speed and cool down as well but your too polished than mine 15 stars form me
Thank you for playing and commenting! When you get to the first checkpoint, a level complete sfx plays but it is too quiet compared to the background music. The second level only loads after the sfx finishes, which takes around 2 seconds I think.
It's a really big oversight because I added the music in as the last step to before I submit and didn't test it again 😭 Hope you find time to give it another shot.
Thank you so much for giving it another shot!
I am incredibly grateful for all the positivity I have received so far on this game, despite its apparent incompleteness and my inexperience as a game dev. All the amazing games I have tried and seen on Mark’s streams gave me a serious case of imposter syndrome, but I am humble to have been given the same kind of support as those amazing devs.
Short and sweet. There's not much content but it is well polished. And tbh that's an ideal outcome for a game jam.
Its a cute take on the whole shrinking/growing idea and you paired it with a couple fun levels. The assets were mostly from a third party but you've managed to mesh them together well; I probably wouldn't have realised if you hadn't said. Its a different skill than producing them yourself but it is still an achievement nonetheless to make them feel cohesive. Good Job!
Thank you for playing and commenting! Yes it's no secret that I used Kenney assets in this game, but I did make the player character, all the swords and their animations myself, in the style of the assets. I have still got a long way to go as an artist but I hope to continue practicing and get better in the future.
If you have time, you can actually try another submission I submitted for the jam called Coffee Conveyor. I made all the assets in this game myself and it's nowhere as good-looking as Kenney's lol.
That was a pretty fun game. Really well polished which is rare in game jams. I hope you keep working on it because the main mechanic seems interesting. Also maybe in the future add control rebinds because it is a bit confusing for me to jump with the arrow keys :P
I loved the graphics and the whole atmosphere was super cute as well. Really interesting concept!
LOL BIG SWORD ENERGY. Scaling the sword was so fun to do. I loved the shaking of this game. Made everything so much more intense! The enemies are so cute too! I liked how I could make my sword bigger to have a further reach.
Wow, glad you had fun with it. To be completely honest, this was a bit of an unfinished mess, but thanks nonetheless. Hope you also check out my other entry!
