Super fun game! Felt your aim offsets we're exact, so if I aimed slightly off where the enemy was I was more likely to hit them even when stationary, a quick way to avoid this difficulty could be to increase the hit box for the enemies, really love the concept super fun! The way to buy more health or fire rate etc. and the voice acting and the music is by far the best in the jam! Ace! <3

Developer

Thanks for commenting, Buttercream! This was definitely common feedback.

I'll have to pass on all these kind comments to our music person and our SFX person. Definitely agree with you that they knocked it out of the park :D Glad you enjoyed the game!

Really fun, hard to aim, it takes a long time to get a little bit hard and the art is amazing. (:

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! Really appreciate the compliments on the art :D glad you enjoyed the game!

Amazing presentation, and the voice clips are an especially nice touch! The main gameplay is a little basic but the twists are great. Having to decide whether to prioritize defeating enemies quickly or making money makes it much more interesting.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed, Fredison! The goblin voice lines have been a real runaway hit haha. Thank you for the kind words!

Fun game, and great presentation. The voice acting is a nice touch :)

One of my top 5 games of this game jam! Everything about is great and a lot of fun. Tho the aiming and hit registration part was a bit weird. Maybe there could be some randomness with the dice roll number?

Submitted(+3)

Fun game i really liked it! I managed to kick one dropped but unspawned enemy over the table edge and he must have been spawned underneath so i was stuck on that stage. Other than that great game

This was really fun, I think in large part due to the aesthetics and simplicity. It also built over time with the increasing difficulty. I do wish that there was some randomness related to the dice. One possible idea would be that the player rolls their own dice, which does different effects based on the dice side. Upgrades could then increase the effectiveness of individual sides, making each playthrough present new opportunities!

This was a fantastic game, great job!

Thanks for playing! As someone with a short attention span myself, I understand what a big compliment this is :D glad you enjoyed it!

Looks really cool! I really like how the gameplay revolves around positioning yourself.  I wonder if some randomization of the numbers on the board could've made the gameplay a bit more challenging?

Presentation is amazing and I love the little goblin voices!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, Seva! That's a fun idea - I can see that being a good challenge. Thanks so much for your kind words! And agreed, Yirsi did a spectacular job on the voiceover (can you believe it was his first time doing voice work for a game)

Sick game. Very well polished. I think the hitbox on the enemies were off sometimes but maybe I'm just bad >.>

Either way enjoyed it! The music is so good.

Developer(+1)

Hiii! Thank you for playing! <3

I'm going to tell you the story of how I spent multiple HOURS trying to fix the hitboxes. Eventually I found out it's really just the weird perspective/angles, I had to do some close-up scene checks and found out when I thought the hitbox didn't work, it was actually going right in front/besides/behind the enemies. I'm wondering if slightly increasing the hitbox would've fixed this without feeling weird, though! Well, we'll never find out :D

Developer(+1)

So glad you liked the music!

I didn't understand how the dice values impacted the gameplay initailly. Love the art style though, great work!

Developer

This one was on me - in the chaos I forgot to add an area for payout values to the table, so it's not just you, don't worry! Really happy you like the art though, especially as I was a first time jammer joining the art team in this great group. Thanks for playing!

Really solid game! The concept is fun, it's well-executed and feels quite polished for a 48 hour jam. Excellent job :)

Great idea, excellent execution, beautiful artstyle, a lot of fun! You deserve to win guys!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words, you rock!

This was a beautiful game, I loved the art direction on this!

Developer

Thanks so much! We really appreciate it!

Wow what an entry!

First of all amazing job on the Presentation. The art looked stunning and the music kept me in the rhythm of the gameplay. Also the narration was hillarious.

Your idea for the game was great and you executed it very well. My only very small note would be that it was sometimes cheaper for me to heal completly then only 3 HP.

Oh and is there limit on levels? I got till level 8. I tryed a few more times  but I am a very bad player ^_°.

Anyway an awesome submission.

Developer(+1)

Hi!

Thank you for the awesome feedback, much appreciated!

The game is endless as of now (even though generally the player will simply be overwhelmed hehe... maybe storymode potential in the future? WHO KNOWS)

As for the heal, the full heal price is based on missing health, while the 3 health is static. The idea is that sometimes you have to choose between healing fully or just getting a little bit of health back, but sadly I didn't manage to balance it just right :D

My mistake ¯\_( ❛︠ ͜ʖ ︡❛)_/¯ Sry

Thanks for your feedback! As a first-time jammer joining the art team, I appreciate it a lot :D thanks for playing and enjoying!

Quite like the graphic style and the sounds :) Didn't realize the roll of the dice effects until I read the comment below though but it's pretty fun. unfortunately does seem to lag quite a bit in fullscreen

Developer(+1)

Hi! Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it - the plan was to add the "payouts" on the table layout but we didn't get to it :D

As for the lag, are you using chrome? For some people chrome full screen lags, trying a different browser might help!

Submitted(+1)

Ah fair enough fitting in everything in 48 is quite a challenge! I'm using Opera GX which is chromium so that could be it

Submitted(+1)

The game is pretty fun, but I don't really understand how the roll of the dice affects the game.

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Hi! Thanks for playing!

So if you kill a die enemy while standing in the field that corresponds with the number on the enemy's upface, you get more gold - it makes for some more strategic shooting/timing rather than just holding shoot and running around randomly :)

You are basically betting as yourself (a gambling chip) on a casino dice game

This game has such a vibe. I think it's a combination of both the groovy music and the mesmerizing hands. Overall, I had quite a bit of fun. The game really turns into a bullet hell as you reach the higher wave counts. The upgrading system felt surprisingly balanced for a game developed within 48 hours. The only problem I had was a glitch. One of the enemies somehow managed to glitch outside of the arena. Other than that, the game was excellent.

Submitted(+2)

I don't know if it's also a web problem, but the shooting is a bit weird sometimes as the bullets go through the enemies when I'm perfectly aiming at them, and have to aim a bit lower than the enemy stands to get a hit. Apart from that it's a solid game which is fun to play and has nice visuals. I got to wave 14 btw.

Developer(+2)

Thank you for playing!

We spent a lot of time trying to fix the aiming problem, and after a couple of hours and lots of close-up scene inspecting we realised it was MOST OF THE TIME just the weird perspective/angle haha. Often when we thought it was surely hitting the enemy, it would often be passing right in front of, or behind it.  I'm glad you enjoyed it, nonetheless! :D

Submitted(+2)

wow nice graphics, solid game, seems to crash on pressing quit tho

Developer(+2)

Thank you for the comment! If you're playing on web version the game will probably freeze as it calls the Application.Exit() method, but the webversion can't "exit". Didn't have time to make two separate builds unfortunately <3
