Very fun game; kept me entertained for quite a while - great choice of music and SFX to match the gameplay and visual art style.
i love the concept! adding controls for finer aiming would really help for precision (maybe using the mouse wheel like in Peggle). i was more focused on finding a trajectory to hit enemies so i didn't pay much attention on the die values. i think it's harder to find options because the placement of dice are hard to control. but anyway, i really enjoyed the game. good job!
Really fun little game! I really like the style of the low poly rat, and the sound design is really good! Good job!
Super unique concept! I think making it a little easier and showing where your bullet is going to hit would have made it a little more strategic and I would have enjoyed that a little more. Other then that, I liked the art and game concept! Well done!
It's an interesting game concept, but I found the game more frustrating than anything. Early on, there are a lot of dice, so it's easy to do big damage on the small value enemies, but later on there's a lot less dice to work with, making it hard to get even a little damage on the high value enemies. Only getting three dice each round seems pitiful, since I'd be using at least one dice per shot. Also, I learned the hard way that the thrown dice don't always land on the board, causing them to be lost forever, which was a little annoying. Also, the weird collision on the blocks (especially at the corners) made for some rather unintuitive and glitchy looking bounces.
One thing that I would have liked to see is a way of changing the starting spot if just a little. Something like a few fixed shooting spots on the bottom row could have been enough to add a little more strategy.
Very cool game! I wish I could control the dice more so I can wall in enemies, but other than that it's a 10/10
Really cool idea! I'd love to see it developed further. It was a little laggy in the browser just fyi. Also, at one point my bullet went outside of the game which I guess stopped an event going off causing it all to freeze?
Really fun game. Could the aiming be made a bit more precise? It often felt like I could hit an enemy, but because of the discrete aiming I couldn't. Also I think smaller enemies should deal less damage.
Yep, agree with you on both points. I think making the collisions on the corners of the dice smoother to allow more angles would be very helpful, as well as making different enemies do different damage. Glad you enjoyed the game!
Pretty fun! Cool concept and I like you you physically roll the die .. though I have to say it was hard to get them to land close to you. In fact, I literally rolled my off of the table and didn't get anything from it haha. Great effort!
Glad you enjoyed it! Aiming the dice can definitely be challenging - we probably should have explained better that holding down the button charges the throw, so a light tap will throw with much less force.
Oh wow did not pick up on that!! I'll have to play again :D
I really like the switch between the shooting and the throwing dice, plenty of room for strategy and style. I wasn't so sure how to play at first and the difficulty curve shot up after those red enemies appeared. They were cool I just used up all the dice blocks I could ricochet off of.
Nice! Yeah the difficulty goes up quickly for sure, could definitely have done with some more tuning but hey, you do what you can.
Not too much to say except I had a lot of fun! Great concept and execution!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the game!
Yo, i friggin love rats
…ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐷ
the sounds are piercing my eardrums tho lmao
Yeah sorry about that, should have added a volume slider :)
Fun and very novel idea! It was hard to visualise where the bullet would go after the first richochet though. Maybe visualise the next couple of bounces as well? I also got a bug where a bullet bounded off of the back wall and went through the left wall into oblivion and it wouldn't let me fire another bullet.
Great job!
Yep, that bug is probably the single worst thing about the game, especially considering how it just locks you from progressing. Glad you liked the game!
Nice concept!
Thanks!
Reminds me of Peggle, except in this version, you get to build the map! The right wall collider failed me and the game broke after 2 dice tosses. I liked the aim guides too. Well done!
Sorry about the bug, that is quite game breaking. Glad you enjoyed what you were able to play!
It took me awhile before understand that i can't shoot directly, but when i learn that, it was really fun to play, you nailed the jam theme with this submission.
Congrats!
Thanks! Yeah I tried to convey that in the instructions but realize it probably wasn't clear enough, especially given that it's just a big wall of text. Glad you were able to figure it out!
Seems easy until you start running out of dice. Then it gets real hard real fast. Really well polished
Thanks!
Very clever concept, but very hard. The graphics were great and the gameplay was smooth!
Thanks! Yeah could probably use a bit more tuning on the difficulty, we were focused on getting the gameplay right and the actual final sequence and spacing of enemies was a bit last minute.
