How does your game fit the theme?
You control a rolling dice, and! As you can see in the screen you have to click the button roll the dice! This however I have to admit is no random Dice ,it is as determined as u are! edit I added a gif of the rolling dice!

I loved 3d art and levels! Good job!
By the way could you play and rate my game?
Incredible atmosphere perfect for this type of puzzle game. The zap when you connect dice feels great, and the game gives you a lot of control over the movement which I appreciated. I got stuck on the sticky get you higher level, but I enjoyed it a lot overall! Great job!
Thanks! Really pleased you enjoyed it, I did spend alot of time on setting/ ambiance for me it is an important part of a game" s so its great you where able to appreciate it . You got really far congrats, its a hard game , especially the sticky gets u hi level! (my apologies .. this one I have no doubt is to hard for sure as an intro level to a new mechanic) . You can see the mechanic in the gif you had to crawl up on a connected Dice. Anyways thanks a lot for you time and feedback and congrats on your game too!
Thanks! Jup,this was a solo project. Ok! Ill have a look when im back from work tonight !
The game looks great, and concept is interesting. The only thing is that it's a bit unintuitive but overal: great job!
Thankyou for playing and your feedback, does seem like its a reoccurring feedback indeed de difficulty, lack of some kind of tutorials. Ill have a look , see if I can improve stuff! Thx
Looks very great
Thanks!
I couldn't figure out the first "multiple" level but I like the presentation!
Thankyou and thanks for giving it a try! It is abit rough to get into a the moment indeed. You basically have to connect them both either by combining the sticky dice together of have them both stick to the dice you control. Come to think of it its probably extra to hard as a first "multiple dice level" though since you cannot fully see the second dice.
Amazing work for such a short time!
Thankyou!
WOW some of the best graphics from the jam hands down, every level is so pretty to look at. The sticking mechanic is a nice change of pace from some of the other puzzle entries this jam too : )
Thank alot Pefeper! Seen the epicness of your entry I am extra honored by your compliment!
Nice graphics and a very good and clever Game Jam game. Great entry! We took a very similar premise in our games, and took it into completely different directions. Good work!
Thanks! we did indeed, you graphics look very nice as wel , clean an polished!
The game looks really great visually! Very impressive work. I found that once the sticky mechanic was introduced, the game had a sharp difficulty spike - I think that could be smoothed out a bit.
Nice job!
Thanks for the feedback! You are very right, Ill have a look into it!
Absolutely wonderful presentation, polish, and concept! Just so amazing to have been created in 48 hours...
Thank you so much! I didnt sleep much I can tell you that much xD
Haha, definitely very understandable...
Super polished, very interesting! I didn't understand what I had to do for a while though. I just found out while writing this comment that I could turn my dice! it would have been nice to have a tutorial or at least your screen with the controls at the beginning.
Much appreciated ,thanks! Good point. Its true I never really properly introduce the rotating. You dont need it for most levels however near the end you do. Ill need to add a rotate introduction level idd! srry , hope you weren't stuck for to long!
Hiroll is the type of puzzle game I like to have on my phone. Right now its difficulty is on the harder side which is not bad, but at least the first levels should be a little bit easier or maybe offer more guidance to the player. With some testing on the textless tutorials everything should be fine. Its graphics are very appealing but not distracting, and the game jam theme is obviusly very present. Congrats for submitting KasperGh!
Thanks alot! So glad you enjoyed it. Would be nice to see some players explore the game for the first time. Seeing what parts players struggle with the most, although there are allready obvious aspect I could improve having more time.
Really interesting and atmospheric, but I didn't get how sticky cube can help me get higher
Thanks! You got far! There an example actually of the move you need in the gif in the screen. You basically have to roll into the sticky when its blocked by a wall. It will detach u from it but boost you up onto it at the same time. A good point and example though of a mechanic being introduced in a to complex / confusing setting to start. Should make a level where you start in a trapped in a ditch or a linear one.
The game looks really promising, but I couldn’t figure out what am I supposed to do on the second level! I think I’ve tried approaching the cube from all possible directions with all possible orientations and nothing was happening.
Thankyou! I will ad some tutorial screens, but basically you have to align the dices, have all faces pointing towards the same directions then they should snap. To complete a level you have to have all the 'sticky cubes' snapped. If its the second level the one after the straight line you can see the solution in the youtube video I think tho :p spoiler alert! Hi roll - GMTK GameJam2022 - 50hours - YouTube , ill make a whole play trough after probably. Anyways thanks again!
Thanks! Gave it another try and now I was able to finish several levels, yay :) By the way, my game uses a similar mechanic!
As for the feedback, I think camera is the main issue. First of all, it took me forever to figure out that you can rotate it, and even then it turned out to be almost useless since you lose track of what keys do what. Maybe if e.g. [W] did a forward move with respect to camera orientation (as opposed to world orientation), it would be easier to navigate?
Anyways, nice concept & level design, beautiful atmosphere, good job!
Great! Thanks for give it another go. I ll have a look at your game as well.
I know the camera isnt ideal especially with all the different dice rolling entry's it gets confusing jumping between games / orientation choices. I probably need to turn it more.
As for the movement I added it early on not sure if I would end up using it but for debug and side seeing it turned out to be useful. Just kept it in for those that stumble up on it and want to have a look around, puzzles shouldn't require camera movement how ever.
Great atmposhpere, nice puzzle game! Good job!
Thanks a lot! glad you enjoyed it
great concept! With some polish, it could be a fully-fledged puzzle game, and the aesthetics/environment are lovely. c:
Also, since you mentioned it in another comment: I think the advice I can give you is that when you want to teach the player something without text, it's best to start out with a very limited movement space to highlight only what you want someone to focus on.
I'd also suggest not having the camera rotated at a 45 angle, as that makes it harder to remember which button takes moves me in which direction.
Either way, thanks for the fun. Well done!
Ty for playing and your feedback, so glad u enjoyed it!
Exactly, the aspect of tutorialless intro to the mechanics needs a lot of work still. The highlighting would help allot indeed! I did try for the first levels to make a little room as possible for movement that doesn't go in the sense of the level goal. (fall down when turning , only way is forward , forcing the player to make the first connection. Or blocking the cube in the second level from back and side so you cant move it). Because of the jam time limit I had to advance way to fast in level complexity to have an interesting range of puzzles and this of course increases the steepness of the learning curve drastically. Ill try for the Jam adding some basic concept screens maybe.
The camera vs movement is an issue idd I did be default rotate the cam a bit more to the side to give some more sense of direction but Im sure it can still be rather confusing. You can rotate and move the cam with mouse click as well .. but if you rotate it to much it only adds to the confusion :p.
Pretty cool puzzle design and nice environments, the game mainly lacks of feedbacks and a proper tutorial
Thx for the feedback, im afraid your a hundred percent correct indeed. I tried to build it up as intuitively as possible, to avoid "tutorials" but im sure its stiff way to rough of a start for most. Messed up the main menu as wel, you can roll in the main menu so you might forget to click on "roll the dice" and get confused into thinking its already the actual game! :/
The environment design here is amazing. I like what you did with the distant background adding depth and more character from your levels. Mine only had flat color lol. Concept was really well done, I like how the dice feel and sound when they snap. Really gives that umphh effect. Great looking and fun game!
Thx alot! I lost myself abit in the visuals indeed. Yours does have a very nice opening animation as well though , adds tons of character too! and the sound work nicely as well! Puzzle wise I wanted to play more with the vertical. Like snapping onto Dices using it to clime up, only have the one level. Or magnetic when they are opposite the repulse ... but noo I needed screen space reflections more xD
