I am not a card game type, but this one I like.  Excellent presentation, excellent idea to implement it as a board game resembling actual board games I played as a child.

Developer

It's always nice to hear that our game mechanics likes people who don't like them in general!

Presentation is top notch, especially enjoyed the alchemists sounds haha! Quite complex but the instructions were good to solve that. The gameplay on the other hand just didn't feel fun quite yet to me, too many times it felt like the cards I have don't do anything I want them to do so I just end up doing mostly random stuff. And even with the reduction cards it felt the progress I made was much too slow to keep me interested. Maybe with enough tweaking and balancing it could become quite interesting though, just need to keep the randomness at an acceptable level.

Developer

Thank you. Yeah we had very little time for some card balance. Maybe in the future. :)

Way too many tutorial pop ups for me, I  did not read them after the 3rd or 4th pop up and still understood enough to play the game. I had a good time with it drawing cards and placing them down. I was able to win after like 3 turns which I find funny considering some of the comments of people  getting   stuck after multiple tries. Nice entry for GMTK!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback to tutorial and we are glad you enjoyed the game!

I loved the background music and the occasional crow sound!

'caw, caw'

Glad you like it 😊

the game is beautiful! but unfortunately I can not play the size of the menus even in full screen is not suitable ... it's a shame ... ;(

Hi, we are sorry for the bad experience. But we figured out it's about the scale settings in the Windows screen settings. It only works nice if 100% scale is set. The others are not working well.

We would be glad if you give it a another try and enjoy the game!

Submitted

Hi! okay I would like a new version so I can still test your game after the jam :)

Fun game I really liked it

Developer

Thank you! We did our best during the weekend and it wasn't easy for us.

Cool visuals and an interesting concept. SFX were nice too.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! We are glad you enjoyed our game.

Developer

Thank you sir!

So much fun! Concept is super cool!

Developer

Thank you a lot.

Submitted(+4)

Really enjoyed the concept and the art style.

Only issue was in about 20 minutes I only drew 3 cards that reduced potion making.

Developer

Thank you. Yeah there might be some problems with player cards. Not enough time :D

Submitted(+6)

Cool idea, wasn't able to beat it after a couple tries--the yellow cards are brutal. One small bug--the card that reduces making at 70% or higher didn't trigger at exactly 70%. I really like the artstyle, and the "oioioioi" alchemist cackle.

Developer(+1)

Thank you. Yes unfortunately we were not able to test all cards.

Submitted(+5)

Interesting concept!

Note that you have to set the display scale to 100% to see the whole game. I had it set to 125% and I had to adjust my setting for this game. Maybe this has something to do with Unity’s WebGL implementation or IDK.

Developer(+1)

Thank you good point. I will add the note.

Submitted(+5)

I like the design and the ambiance. Nice work.

Developer

Thank you very much. :)

Developer

Thank you!

I personally hate the roll & move mechanic in board games, but you made it fun and made it little lit less random. Kudos to that :-)

And very nice visuals!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Wow! We are really happy that even through the cons of the board games for you, it was a nice experience!

Submitted(+7)

It is very obvious a lot of care went into this game. It is smart, fun, and very polished all around!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much. :)

Developer (2 edits) (+3)
