It feels smooth to control the character and attack.  And  this is the first game that requires a gamepad.

Submitted

I believe it must be a good game, but sadly I can't go with the gamepad controls. My is sadly not working...

Developer(+1)

Ah sorry to hear that! I was close to getting them done but ran out of time :(

Really awesome game that fits the theme perfectly. The controls feel great and with the different dice, you already have a ton of content. I also love, that the dice may have negative effects as well. I felt, however, that (other than the cooldown) nothing really stopped me from spamming one dice I was comfortable with. Maybe add some sort of ammo system? Overall great game, would love to see it developed further!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah im thinking about ways to improve the combat system so ill be experimenting with that and ill have an update soon, I'll definitely try an ammo system to see how that forces some different strategies

Interesting game design, love the different dice. I really enjoyed playing it.  The enemies are only a bit too easy to dodge and there are a lot of them. I would like to see more different enemies for example from each dice type enemy.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Totally agree, most people I've seen play tend to run away leaving a trail of dice behind them and the enemies don't really put up much of a fight then, im going to give the enemies some more types of attack along with resistances and weaknesses to different elements to encourage different dice to be used which should help with this (I think this is what you're referring to with dice types)

Really nice game. Well polished. Good job!

Fun game! I didn't understand how to aim the dice (aiming with the right stick changes what die I throw). I got past a few waves but then died to my own attacks haha. The game controls super well with a GameCube controller, though I do miss keyboard controls.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Wow I hadn't considered anyone would be playing with a game cube controller, im not sure if that's why the aim isn't working however I might need to get my hands on one to test, the right stick should only change the dice if the right button is held (possibly Z on a game cube controller) but I can't say for sure, I'll see if unity has some specific button mapping for your controller and add support for the next update if so!

Controller was a surprise, but it works fine. All systems work nicely. Needed a little battle design. Good job! )

Developer

Thanks, yeah I felt the controller was nicer in testing so I prioritised that, completely agree on the battle design lol, I'll be adding some new features to help with that this week

Fun core concept. Dice could have used a bit more balancing, the fire dice is the dominant strategy by a mile. But overall a job well done!

Developer

Cheers! Yeah the fire dice definitely dominates, im thinking about ways to improve the other dice types and give some resistance to fire to certain enemy types too to allow more strategic decision making, should be in the next update, thanks for playing!

Fun for a little while 🙂 I didn't feel like I had much control though - basically just spammed the shoot trigger. But well executed, especially for being in 3D. Good job!

(For reference, I used a wireless XBox One controller. Didn't want to connect the first time, but it worked fine after closing and opening the game again.)

Developer(+1)

Ah glad you enjoyed it! Yeah there's a few ideas that im going to be experimenting with this week and uploading so hopefully that'll help prevent easy spamming of the dice, glad the controller worked, I've had some issues with wireless ps4 controllers and have had to use a wire myself but ill be working on the controller support more too next chance I get

Submitted

Cool to include controller support, shouldn't come at the cost of keyboard support. Also it doesn't work with pro controllers.

Developer

Yeah agreed, keyboard support was a must for me too but I just missed the deadline, im using Unity's new generic controller input system so maybe I've missed something required for pro controllers

I really like you game icon, and want to play. Can you do a keyboard/mouse control?

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yes I'll be finishing off the keyboard and mouse support this week

Submitted

Oh no i don't have a gamepad:(

Developer

Ah sorry about that! Really tried to get keyboard and mouse support in but didn't quite manage it on time, you can technically still play however you can't change dice or aim so it's a very limited experience
