Thanks again for the interview and appreciate the highlight!

Oh, that's fair! Good stuff! And you're welcome. Feel free to reach out to me if you want feedback on a post-jam version or your new projects :)

I don't think it's balanced too hard. It's completely unbalanced. Pure RNG. Which totally can be annoying if you got unlucky a few times in a row. That's certainly an area where we can improve. Letting the numbers be random but reducing the chances of constantly high prices. Thanks for your feedback!

I appreciate your feedback and there's certainly a lot of things we can improve upon and add more control over the game. But your bar for a quality of a jam game might be a bit high imho (Albo mozliwe ze to brzmi troche grubo bo jestes z Polski, hehe) . There's only so much things you can focus on and deliver during a jam. We spent time on making the basic things feel good and from the feedback we got that goal was achieved and that's no quick or easy task

We're planning to add more content, ways to affect your price and earn money in the post jam version though :)

Love your game! Very well rounded entry for the jam: nice visuals and animations, fitting sfx and music, well balanced difficulty progression with nice level design! Amazing job! I'd certainly play a bigger version of that game. It has got a lot of potential!

Thanks for bringing it to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

I love the idea of having different abilities being affected positively or negatively by a roll of the dice so you have to make a set of skills that work in different situation! There's a lot of levels and a lot of abilities but player is not encouraged to use them and can go through first few levels using one attack and one support move. That's certainly something you might want to improve upon. Good job for the jam anyways!

Nice take on the theme! Love how distinct every die face's special ability with different visuals. There's not much content though, I wish there was more. Endgame screen or rather lack of it was a bit confusing as well. But for a jam you made a very solid foundation, and based on your trailer I guess you want to elaborate on that idea, and it certainly has got a lot of potential. Good job!

That's a very funny game! So many puns! It's not exactly clear what options are the best at a certain moment and that you better not say certain phrase when you're not in the matching mood. But it goes pretty well even if you don't think about that at all. Great work!

Really cool idea for a puzzle game! Love the visuals too. Nice mechanic with luring enemy-scooters away from you with a decoy, really enjoyed it. Drowning scooters was very fun too! I wish there was some sound effect when you do that.

A great and well polished entry for the jam, good stuff!

That's such a cool idea! Very fun try destroy stuff while trying to roll a die. Great job with making all the different weapons and all the environment. I stuck on the zone level and after a short while it wasn't that much fun to try to roll 3 dice into a zone, probably main part of the fun comes from breaking stuff, haha. So that might be one thing you want to rework. Still overall a great for the jam!

Very fun and super polished game! Love the way music drops once you get through the first part! Great visuals and effects as well, very well done. Difficulty might need some tweaking imho, those 2 waves of ships are very sparce and if you have a low number on the die it's almost impossible to complete. Anyway amazing job for the jam!

That's a great take on the theme with very nice character art and visuals! Gameplay certainly needs some tweaking, but there are some really good part. I certainly enjoyed the lightning the way it predicts your movement and you have a very quick moment to react.

Viewport looking good now :)

That's a very hard game but it has got a lot of flavor. Really nice concept and art! It's fun for a while. One thing you might want to try to improve is having more packed restaurant so there would be more action and maybe add a slower difficulty progression with careful level-design. But for a jam a very nice job!

BTW there's still no full screen button visible on the web version so you might want to fix that viewport height ;)

That's a very beautiful game that has got a very cool vibe going! The gameplay is pretty straightforward and you can kill the boss pretty fast, but that's alright for a jam game. Having different moves for the boss and abilities for the player might change that. Great job for the jam though!

Thanks for coming to my stream! I'll post a link to recording here once it's processed

(1 edit)

Quite a unique game with very satisfying visuals and animation and a clever idea for the core mechanic! It becomes difficult pretty fast. You might consider slowly introducing new weapons and enemies without raising the difficulty first and then slowly increase it to have challenge. A very solid job for a jam anyway!

A simple idea done very well! Very fun to play for a while. Minimalistic looks are very good too with good animation. A very solid job!

Thanks for coming to my stream! I'll drop a recording here when it's processed

Oh, that's a good suggestion, will certainly add that in the after-jam update! Thank you so much, glad you liked it!

I'm really glad you liked it that much! Thanks!

So polished little game! Very impressive for the jam. Just the animation and sound of crushing boulders is so satisfying. Really cool take on the theme too. It becomes very difficult quite fast, but that's ok with this arcade-style get-a-higher-score gameplay. Great job!

I played it on my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it

Such a beautiful game! Love your take on the theme with dice shooting from their sides. Gameplay is pretty simple but that's ok for a jam game. I can totally see how with more levels and difficulty progression it can become a very fun game! Good job!

A very solid game! Good visuals, nice music, simple concept that takes a bit of practice to learn to get to a higher score. Though I guess with the bug I found score really depends on your patience, haha. Overall a really good job!

Haha, I enjoyed that, the song is just great! I'm glad you made this funny little game instead of giving up on the jam completely!

Nice take on the classic snake game. Clever take on the theme too. Removing snake parts with a die is a cool idea. It has a couple of bugs but still fun to play for a while. Nice job!

Very nice looking game! Puzzles are mostly on the easier side and most can be brute-forced quite easily. But there was a few making me calculate moves. Good job!

That's a simple but quite a fun game to play for a while! Love the visuals and all the different weapon effects. Gameplay-wise might need a bit more dynamic difficulty. Also nothing pushes player to try all the different weapons, actually in reverse keeping combo on the same weapon makes it rewarding to stay with same weapon, maybe that's something you'd like to change. Anyways a great job for the jam! Additional point for optimizing the unreal game to run so well, don't see it much on jams

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

A very distinct  and funny game for sure! Clever core mechanic and take on the theme. Adding some sort of end-game screen or pop-over would be helpful because I understood that I completed all levels immediately. But overall a very good job for the jam!

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

I love it! A perfect game for jam! Small scope, clear goal, unique mechanics and clever take on the theme, very well fitting visuals and sounds, a well balanced difficulty... just wow... top notch work!

Great idea  for the theme with some nice visuals! Rolling the dice is a bit slow and doesn't involve much skill you just wait until you get a good roll. Maybe you could give the character a more dynamic and complex move set then the player can roll a complex course and try to get through (which can be rewarded) or roll an easier one. Just one way to handle it but I guess you already have many others. Anyways a good job for the jam!

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

Very cool visuals and core mechanics! Takes a while to learn the moves but  it becomes pretty fun to move around once you get it. I wish there was more levels, slower difficulty  progression and some music and sfx but there's only so much you can do in a jam. I'd certainly play an after-jam version!

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

That's such a funny game!  Great idea for the core mechanic! And it's even has depth to it with with ability to send the die further by slapping it mid-air, very cool. Sound effects are top-notch and voice over is just great. Visuals also work quite well with the ridiculous story. It highlight of day for sure!

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

Love your take on the theme! With impressive amount of content too. I really like how you handled characters, and their stats with each having their own set of dice of different kinds.  Difficulty curve was a bit steep for me: first two levels were quite ease and then I got demolished on the third, haha. But it's quite hard to make right in such constrained timespan. A solid job for the jam!

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

A very solid game with a unique idea and satisfying visuals! It was a bit hard, cause once you start running around the field you'll get enemies surrounding you from all sides and it's hard to get out of a situation like that. But that's fine for jam where there's never enough time for fine tuning difficulty and pacing. Very good job!

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it

Certainly a very creative take on the theme! Art matches very well with the absurd dialog!

The dialog itself was a bit all over the place. It lacked a bit in structure for my liking, I believe it would be funnier to have dialog that starting to make sense and then drop something weird in there. But maybe I just didn't get something, or had an unlucky run in the game

Anyways good job putting this unique game together in such a short time!

I played it on my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it

I really love your concept and visuals! Fun to play for a while, though I couldn't get past 10 pieces and was always reduced by dice or enemies. I don't know if that was intended or I just didn't find a proper strategy. Music is very good, but doesn't exactly match the overall setting of the game IMO.

I really like what you did with the theme and adding ability to speed up rolling dice once you seen it before was a very nice touch! Overall a very good job!

I played it during my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it

Update: I killed the boss!

Ha, glad you liked it!

That's a good question! @cumbertiger draw all the art on paper with markers  then it was photographed and processed digitally to remove the background. For animation I put together some processed images and added variety, it sped up the process because we didn't have to draw every animated part frame-by-frame this way
