Well, this game kinda different have nice concept! Polish more and I'm sure it will hook me up!
Thank you for playing and leaving a comment!
Oooohh this is a few tiny tweaks away from being something really special.
The basic mechanics are fun, combining rollers and making paths is nice. The upkeep makes you think and the camera controls are nice and easy to get the hang of.
If I was to say anything, just changing some numbers around to make it more fast paced, having the starting camera so you can see the whole factory and the house. Otherwise, great stuff and nice literal use of the theme
Thank you soo much for the feedback. Yeah, I should have made it a little more fast paced. By the way, I've played your game, Dice Coliseum, before, and it's very fun! Nice work.
This is nice for 2 days of work, you've got all your basic game mechanics working. The path building gave me flashbacks to making paths in Roller Coaster Tycoon :) I think being able to click and drag to make multiple path segments would be a good addition to the controls.
Thanks for playing and giving feedback! Yeah, I think I should have added clicking and dragging, that would make it much easier to place longer paths.
It’s too bad that the UX/UI isn’t done, because this could have really been a top entry!
I had a lot of fun building the paths and delivering the dice, but I also had a lot of frustration:
If you update the game after the jam, I’ll be glad to try it again!
Thanks for playing the game! I see why you would be frustrated at the dice spawning because after I tested the game, I realized it was very slow, but it was too late to upload again. I also should have thought about the rotation as a lot of people I know are used to using right click for rotation. I think a good alternative maybe have been changing rotation to right click and making it so that you can switch between destroy/build modes and do it with left click. I did actually have a version with the UI finished, nicer looking graphics, and faster gameplay (Dice and delivery locations spawning in faster), but I was unfortunately a few minutes too late uploading that version.
And you were alone! We were a team and we still managed to run out of time and publish a version with an annoying bug haha. Congrats on making it.
I like the concept and see a lot of potential there, nothing stopped me from delivering all the dice to the first house tho, so that's what I did. No dice for everyone else!
Impressive what you managed to squeeze in there alone!
XD Thanks for playing! I'll make sure to check out your game too!
I really appreciate how much you've done in 48 hours. My hackathon experience is a bit angry at you for accepting a "build a factorio-like game in two days" challenge. This features nice and simple graphics, the building mechanics work as intended, and what you've built works fine, but understandably lacks polish. Very nice effort. I have a feeling this would have a potential to be a top contender if this was a game jam with a 7 or 14 days limit.
Thanks for the feedback and compliments!
Yeah, I made this on my own. Originally, I had plans to have the delivery locations be warehouses and casinos and even cargo ports but if you've done game jams before, you probably know that too big of an idea has to be cut down. Thats what happened to me, but thanks for playing! I'll definitely check out your game.
A bit slow but a fun concept, I especially like the way the dice roll.
Thanks for playing my game, and, yeah, I did realize after that it felt very slow to wait 3 minutes between different houses spawning in, but it was too late to change :/
Hey! Congrats on getting this made for the jam!
I actually tend to enjoy resource allocation games, so props on finding a way to relate that to the theme. I think there is a bit more balancing to be done in terms of mechanics, and it's a bit unclear what the end goal was other than to not run out of money.
Still, for a jam version, everything works, so well done!
Thanks! Yeah, I see what you mean. I should have talked more about an end goal or maybe had a tutorial or something to get the player started.
