Fun game! I got stuck up on the floating islands, however – I couldn't work out how to get any further! Really nice feel to the bouncing :)
This game is great! Really satisfying platforming and a fun use of the theme! Coolbot has been enjoying trying to speed run it and having fun with it, well done!
Great game, was hooked just mastering the rhythm of stacking momentum. Some challenges were pretty punishing but all the more rewarding when you finally clear it. Would be fun to watch the breakneck pace of a speed runner playing this. Nice job!
amazing game throwing about does get me confused but really enjoyed it actually my is also about throwing my self here and there!
Nice looking world. Good feeling controls. I will have just one recommendation, to use projectiles instead of raycast. It's too easy to hit the target as is.
Have you tried my?
I played a bit of this, took me 15 min to finish it. Really fun! :D
I think it would be even more fun if you would have other challenges (or game modes) besides hitting the targets, like going through rings mid-air or having some "race" where you need to reach a destination within a time limit.
The jumping mechanic is extremely catchy. Would have preferred that the lilies disappear by the time I reach the ground again so I could jump in the same place twice. That would have made the jumping very seamless but even so it was very fun!
The colors are also veeeeery nice!
Good job!
Great ideas, I'm glad you had fun!
Actually, I should have put this in the tutorial - you can shoot the Lillies to make them disappear. So you could shoot them while you're in the air if they get in your way!
Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it@
Definitely got stuck not being able to get past the floating platforms and the small white tall rock with a platform on it. Really fun movement though! Love that it's based off of speedrunning mechanics, but I am bad at aiming and speedrunning lol
It's a bit tough - maybe I should have included some short video tutorials or something.
Thanks for playing anyway!
I played this for way longer than I should have. You have to tell me if you can get over to that second mountain because I have been trying for like 30 minutes and cant get it. I figured out shooting the vines on the wall.
The big one with the flag on top? Try bouncing really high from the first mountain, then jumping off and bouncing off the platform below.
There's a little gameplay video here (not made by me!) which you can scrub through if you'd like!
Lol I was trying that but couldn't get it, finally got over there! now I can rest lol.
Awesome, thankyou for playing - I hope you had fun!
Cool movement! Very smooth and juicy gameplay!
Thankyou! I had lots of fun making this, so I'm glad you liked it :)
Very nice game! I think it could have benefitted from a time constraint and even more emphasis on gaining momentum
I agree! I think I might make a full version of this game and include some tougher levels with more momentum required.
Thankyou for your feedback!
Very solid controls. Idea is pretty neat, gives me some Portal vibes.
The jumps involving vines on the wall are a little harder than they should, maybe it was just me but it seemed the vines didn't give any vertical boost.
Overall I'd love to see a full game out of this. It could end up being a very fast paced platformer puzzle game (is that even a genre?). Congratulations.
I actually agree that the vines are a little bit funky. They're not designed to give you vertical boost - the idea was lily is for vertical, vines are for horizontal. Maybe a small amount of upwards velocity would have been nice?
Thanks for your feedback. Appreciate it a lot!
Smooth gameplay and graphics. Love to see a different spin on the rocket jump mechanic. Could use a few more checkpoints though.
Interesting point - I thought I was relatively generous with the checkpoints, but I suppose since this was essentially one big "tutorial" level it's better to make things easier than harder.
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to play!
Very fun platformer.
Looks nice too.
Thankyou for your feedback! Glad you had fun.
I like bouncing but, some of the areas I felt like there wasn't enough space for me to build momentum. Overall great looking game, super fun mechanic and good movement.
Getting the difficulty curve right is always tough - I playtested with a bunch of my friends but most of us have played around with TF2's rocket jumping mechanic before, so perhaps that's why we found it a bit easier.
Thanks for playing!
Really impressive effort. Smooth controls.
Cheers!
Very cool mechanics. Maybe the game could've been optimized a little; my somewhat decent computer had less than 30 fps. The scenery is really nice though. (There is a nice add-on for implementing level of detail (or Lod) based by how far the camera is: https://godotengine.org/asset-library/asset/729)
Excellent points - with my time I was more interested in making something pretty than optimising for multiple platforms. Thanks for your excellent feedback!
Wish my computer wasn't so weak. Game ran at like 10fps for me and was pretty laggy, so it was very difficult to control properly. What I was able to do was a lot of fun, though, and the visuals are extremely appealing in their simplicity. Great work!
That is a shame. I wish I had the time to implement some quality settings for this exact reason.
Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate this. In my next project, I will try to make sure I have time to offer reduced graphical settings for laptops or older computers.
Excellent, nice performance and mechanics, looks really polished and was a fun ride.
Thankyou, I'm glad you had fun!
Incredible mechanics and 3D models. Great job!!
I can't take credit for the 3D models - amazing asset packs here if you'd like to use this art in your next project!
Thanks for your comment!
woahh, very polished mechanics, the movement feels really nice!! great game \(★ω★)/
Thankyou! Really appreciate your feedback
