I dig this is your first time and you managed to deliver such a good looking experience, would be cool to see the game ready tho even if after the jam ^^

Developer(+1)

Cheers! I’m planning to see this through, after drawing all that :D

Submitted

Hey! It was my first game jam too :) I think you achieved your goal, it looks good, and I'd love to see where you were going with this. Are you going to continue it?

Developer(+1)

Thank you, and congrats for completing your first jam! I already started laying the groundwork for updates, gonna post it all as a devlog on the game’s main page.

Submitted

I liked the style of the game. You must come back to this. I love to see how it goes!

Developer

I will, I already posted a GitHub repo for an update, in a devlog post. Thank you!

Very creative and well thought looking game. Too bad you weren't able to finish it in time. Could have been one of the game jams top entries.

Developer

Thank you! I regret not being able to finish, but I had to learn a lot of fundamental stuff from scratch, so I hope it at least lays the foundation for the next jams :))

I'd say you definitely succeeded in your goal of creating a beautiful game! I love the art and I know it must've taken a lot of work to get all the pixel art done just right. It really paid off! I can totally understand life just getting too crazy, but always have endless respect for anyone wanting to see a project through to the end! I think you have the beginnings of a really great game on your hands and even the combat system seems really interesting! I would love to see future iterations of the game and how the combat begins to play out! Great work and congrats on the submission!

Developer

Thank you very much! There will definitely be more coming soon, I’m already working on reorganizing the slapdash game jam folder structure to lay the groundwork for future updates :)

Stunning pixel art! The rocks, trees, and clouds look great! I like the concept you had too, where the battles appear to be a nice twist on Rock, Paper, Scissors! It's too bad that you didn't have more time to finish some of the core mechanics because it feels like a game I'd like to play, but still great job on submitting a game for your first jam! That in itself is a huge accomplishment!

Developer(+1)

Cheers for the encouragement! I’ll keep working on this until it becomes actually playable :)

Submitted

The art is awesomelly gorgeus and beautiful, I wish for more gameplay in the future, I'd like to see how the battle with the birds ends. Good job

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Spoiler alert: they lose!

Submitted

Looks great! Wish it was finished on time so I could stroll around more :)

Developer

Thank you! :))

Congratulations! Graphics of your game are great. You warned me that the game wasn't complete but you did a good job!And I believe you achieve your goal: with Godot it is possible to create something aesthetically pleasing!

Developer(+1)

Cheers! I should’ve put more emphasis on that— a lot of people actually thought combat was happening while it was just animations haha. Lesson learned :)

Submitted

Here's My Gameplay! 9:12 mark!

Developer(+1)

Hehe sorry it was so incomplete that people can’t even tell whether the combat is actually going on or not. Spoiler alert: it is not. Just two characters jumping around.

Thank you so much for taking a look at it! I’ll be developing it further. Setting up a schedule to be able to do regular updates. Devlog? Yes, Devlog.

Submitted

Even though it is far from being finished, and there is nothing to do in game, I really like the artwork. It looks like game, I would enjoy.

Would love to read your comments on my game

Submitted(+1)

Can't wait to see it finished!

Developer(+1)

Same here! I’m planning to keep updating it regularly :)

Submitted(+1)

I realy enjoy the art and the animation. Can't wait for the complete game =).

Developer(+1)

I appreciate it! I’m trying to set development goals and a schedule. Planning on making a devlog for it.

Submitted

Nice art and animations. Looking forward to playing it again when you finish it. Keep it up : )

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Definitely planning on developing it further. Am thinking of starting a devlog…

Nice art. It has qualities that fits nicely for games (that I want to make). I never get to making art past "functional" so maybe we should team up sometime?

Developer(+1)

Hey, thank you! Sure thing. I’m surprised to find out that I actually enjoy doing GUI and art way more than the average developer. Definitely hit me up if and when you have any idea!

Submitted

Nice! No ideas right now, but maybe we could team-up for the GTMK jam in 8 days, if you have time?

Developer

Sounds good! I’ve no experience in GTMK, but asset-wise I can join. I’m also a musician so can hook you up with sound effects and music too.

Is there a way to send PMs on itch.io? How do we get in touch?

Submitted

Yeah GTMK has more a focus on design and assets fall under the one category presentation, so less of an importance, but it is still a game so it still adds to it

don't know how on itch, but here is my discord: West#9141.

Developer

Sent!

I really liked the art and animations – it looked promising, even though it's not fully done :)

Developer

Thank you, I appreciate it! I’m planning to take this further, I’ve grown attached to it after so many hours :D

You definitely succeeded in making a game in Godot look beautiful!

Developer

Thank you very much! Now to make it into an actual game, haha
