I managed to collect 8 droplets. Neat game! A chill calming leisure walk with beetroot. And good job on those checkpoints as well. You should definitely add some background music. then it would be super awesome!
Really like the intro transitions. Using the letters of the title as levels was really clever.
You nailed the seamless wild card, well done.
I got 9/10 droplets! It's a really nice and cute platformer game. It was pretty relaxing, although it would've been better if there was background music.
I also liked your idea for the seamlesss wild card, traveling through the title screen itself. however my laptop lagged a bit when it zoomed out. Maybe you should've scaled the whole game smaller.
Other than that tho, nice game!
Really cute game. I felt nice and relaxed walking my little beet through your lovely green world! Would love some background music if you update it :)
I wasn't intending to update it post-jam, but the response has been good, I've made some adjustments and will probably update it. Thank you!
I found all 10 droplets! A really calm and relaxing little journey. The title also being the level is a really creative way to incorporate the wild card. All that's missing is some lighthearted music for the beets adventure. But all in all; simple and charming.
Yeah, I ran out of time before I could add music. Thanks!
7/10 droplets. Nice game! The seamless intro and title looked great and so did the art. The platforming mechanics were smooth and I really liked that there is a checkpoint when you die. Wish the beet moved a little faster tho.
Thanks! I'm fiddling with the level design and the speed of the beet, I think i'll update it after the jam period
I really liked the beet and your intro/title screen and how literally, the world was the title. that was pretty clever. The game played well enough and the platforming controls worked pretty well.
Thank you!
Really liked the way you designed the world to be the games logo! Sorry to hear you lost some dev time due to being sick. Shows character you stuck with it though. Only found 9/10 water droplets, I tried!
Thanks!
The beet looked cute.
Thanks!
Nice, I liked it. The beet has great art and cute animation. Definitely continue with this character. A little more objective would be great and I wish the walking speed was a little faster. Some challenges would be great, not really enemies (unless beets have enemies) but perhaps some back and forth puzzles and switches. Overall good job.
Thanks! I was afraid to make it walk faster and make the game too quick. It was supposed to be a puzzle-platformer, but I lost some days to allergies and didn't have enough time to work on level design as I wanted
Well first of all, great job for a quick jam! Second, definitely continue this game. This idea of walking in words (perhaps answers to a puzzle) works great for a puzzle platformer.
I sure do like Beetboy. The platforming and level design was fun, but a little bland. The seamless world from the title screen and through all the doors really made the game stand out though. I'd like to see what you do from here because if you add more little things like the seamless world or even just polish the rest and make it longer, this will be really sweet.
Thanks a lot!
Hey, I like your beet guy, good art and just the right purple ;)
Solid platformer controls and I loved the seamless transition. There was nothing to really hold me in the game though and it wasn't always clear if I was working my way towards the end or just wandering until I reached the exit.
Thanks! I had more planned, but I lost a couple days sick and I couldn't do everything. I almost gave up o the whole idea, but I decided it was better to send what I could do than to send nothing at all 🙂
Yeah man, that's fair. Be proud of what you've done!
