I was a bit confused on what I was doing, and lost my first battle. Nevertheless, it seemed like a really nice game. A tutorial would be very nice...

Nice game! Interesting mechanically once I understood what was going on. Needs some tooltips, and identifiers on the bars.
That's a lot of work for a jam game, congrats. I liked the setting and I also like deckbuilders. Hope to see more out of this.
A pretty ambitious idea for a game jam. Looks like you pulled off quite a lot in a short time, and it's always an achievement when you submit something.
One thing I might look into is using an AI tool like stable diffusion for getting some concept art in place and speeding up that side of things, it's pretty good at game art for things like cards
Cool concept.
I can relate to wanting to finish, my earlier submissions lacked description and or tutorial. I've found that making it part of the game helps.
I think you must know about TTK concept
A helpful article. I don't think it would help though. The attacks were honestly lackluster.
Quite the complex system without a good explanation of the concepts. Maybe a short intro or easy enemy would be nice. The main menu + transition looks great btw
Wow interesting concept, but like i had hard time choosing the other cards only needle poke works fine but the other were working 1/2 but good game !
Needle Poke was supposed to be a weak but reliable attack. I should have set the other attacks to have a static damage on top of the dice so it's actually better to use them over the Needle Poke. It probably helps that you start with five and each costs 0 Vim.
The game seems very interesting but unfortunately I couldn't really figure out what was going on. Having no tutorial or card descriptions really messed with the game. Nice job for finishing though!
Yeah, I think I spent all week only doing the game whenever I came to my laptop. It's certainly refreshing to finish.
And yeah, it's on me on how I neglected the descriptions. I wanted to finish up the game before I did the fancy stuff like the art and description. If you managed to defeat all three enemies, you might see the somewhat embarrassingly bare trophy that I was feeling too lazy to draw well.
Cool concept and the art is funky and cool. Definitely could use some more description as to what cards do and how the turns really work.
There's only two turns, one for you, another for your enemy. The descriptions thing? Yeah, that's on me. I don't know how to explain the 4 HP bars things, so I neglected it.
Cudos to you for finishing a game !
Sadly I couldn't win the first fight, no card or stat description made it quite impossible to grasp the concept of the game.
Yeah, sorry about that, I should probably worked on that instead of taking a break on the final day.
cool concept! i think a tutorial / instructions would've been helpful. i had a hard time figuring out what's what, at first.
Sorry about that. I should probably added an instruction to drain one of the four HP bars. It seemed like a great idea except all the others were poorly used.
