Using the web build, the game itself didn't seem to work for me at all. I think my character exploded immediately upon spawning or something? I hear a sound effect and then the screen just turns grey.
At least the intro was hilarious and fun. Awesome job with the voice acting! XD
I also got to the king when it froze for me, not certain what took place. I loved the voice over and intro scene, great addition. I felt the controls were a tad difficult to get used to, but overall was a unique experience.

Tons of fun and great use of the theme. Controls were a bit funky at first but once I got the hang of it I was cruising. It is fun chomping up all the books.

Yeah I liked the intro too and I was hooked but then I got stuck to the grey screen too on Firefox xD
I too got the grey screen right after the intro; all the knowledge truly was eaten. (tried web and exe in wine).

There seems to be a massive bug that causes The Book Worm(tm) to shoot off out of bounds as soon as the game starts, rendering it unplayable. As per the jam rules you are allowed to submit game-breaking bug fixes (which this DEFINITELY counts as), so I highly advise you to take this opportunity. For now I will reserve my judgement.
