“That’s all” Really, man your game is great! Normally jam games have the issue they are too long, but your game is great and def. too short. Would have loved to repair more stuff. Audio and graphics nicely fits to the game idea and it connects to the theme pretty well! Nice game you got there!
The idea is fun.
I tried a couple of times, and I'd have liked to have more time. I had some trouble with the placement of screws and panels.
Thanks for the submission! Really impressive doodle graphics! Nice job! (* ^ ω ^)
Really solid idea, and theme perfectly centered. I enjoyed to disassemble and re-assemble small electronic devices, it felt quite relaxing!
I missed some hints on where the screws have to be placed, when re-assembling things, but I know for sure it's what happens also in reality, sooo... I guess this counts as simulation :)
The only constructive critique I can make is that controls were not always responsive. Sometimes I couldn't grab the correct screw from the table, and that was a bit frustrating. I don't know if it's intended or not, but I hope that the feedback helps.
Thanks again for the submission, and congratulations!
This is so cool. The appealing doodle graphics and the mechanic makes it really fun to play. I enjoyed it :)
I couldn't figure out how to repair the calculator, maybe a few more instructions would be nice (e.g. that you need to place the skrewdriver above the skrew and then additionally click on it).
Hope you'll continue working on this! :)
Very functional core gameplay of disassembling and repairing various electronic devices. Cool chill music in the background too.
UX could be improved; it's not immediately clear as to what to do, or how to use the mechanics to engage with the objects. And by the time the player does, the time has run out (with no option to restart the game, except refreshing the browser and reloading it). Removing or slowing the time limit I think could allow the player appropriate time to figure things out.
Definitely empathaize however that the game was made within four days of the nine-day jam, so all things considered, good combination of programming and art to create a workable prototype that could be further developed and molded into a fun repair game!
Sorry I tried twice and must be missing something. I managed to replace the batteries and screw back in the screw but after that didn't know what to do. I will say having no instructions/title menu doesn't help. Would like to play more but with out understanding what to do or how to do it...
Honestly the premise sounded a bit questionable (what's so fun about unscrewing a battery compartment) but trying to figure out how to repair it before the time ran out ended up being really engaging.
I've been looking forward to this since seeing it in the WIP channel! And it didn't disappoint. I just wish there was more to it!
Alas I haven't managed to get this running on a Mac yet
really great art here! also the gameplay feels super original
A really charming little game. I love the art style.
I wonder wether the time limit was necessary - it really caught me off guard on my first try. This game has such chill vibes, that I kinda just wanna sit there and repair tamagotchis uninterrupted for a couple minutes.
(My high score is 80$, btw)
