Tried the browser version and was very hard, the windows version works way better and looks better also, the main issue for me is every time I shoot the screen flashes white, I assume is the bullet but im not sure, the models and sfx are great and the tutorial is a nice touch, good job!

This is a Tower Defense game which takes after "Orcs Must Die!"

Once you have enough cannons, the game forgets to scale, so you can no longer lose.

Tool selection will only cycle one way with the mouseWheel.

The theme appears to be an afterthought, rather than a focus.

I do think this team worked hard on this, and I hope you guys have learned a lot for this jam, but the game comes up short under scrutiny. Come back in January and try again!

Thank you for playing!

Yeah it was inspired by orcs must die and dungeon defenders but in first person. Thanks for the feedback on the tool selection! The theme being illuminations our way of seeing it was in that we used alot of glow but your right! Hope to see you too in the next jam merry christmas!

Awesome! Really enjoyed the game. Would have liked more of a challenge but the potential is there for a great fps tower defense game. Hope you update this project in the future, it's really cool.

There is no end ...

Great job though !

Developer

Thanks for the comment! It is supposed to be an survive as long as you can! There will be new levels for quests later on!

Nicely done! The mechanics are pretty solid and the glow effect looks quite nice. There were a couple strange bugs with the browser version. It's possible to lose mouse capture when pausing due to the browser using escape as its own input to show the mouse. Also I sequence broke the tutorial on accident. Not entirely sure how lol but I had to restart.

Developer(+1)

Ty for the comment ! The breaking of the tutorial happens when you place the cannon before it tells you too ( we found that out too late). The escape problem was also found out too late so we couldn't change it ... thx for report anyways! Do you think we should continue developing ?

Submitted(+1)

To be honest, if you want to continue developing, I think the game needs an interesting core mechanic or idea to focus around. You have a solid foundation for a tower defense game here so there are plenty of directions you could go with it!

Nice work.  I think the jumping could use a bit more force.  It was hard to jump from the ground up to platform/piers.  Or that's what I thought would be more fun to do.

I didn't particular like the field of view.  Felt like wall-eye vision or tunnel vision.  I got motion sickness at the beginning but then got used to it after a minute or 2.

I like the canons aspect but they would do more proximity AoE damage I think.

Also, I think the music and sound effects sell me on keeping on playing and trying to outscore myself.

Developer

Thank you for playing and thanks for your feedback!

If we continue work on this project we will adress making jumping up onto the platforms easier and possibly adding a fov slider may fix the feeling some experience with motion sickness. thanks!

Really cool, I specially like the hands on tutorial that gets you going! Looking at the screenshots there seems to be more levels, but I couldn't figure out how to progress, is it time based?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

Right now there is no end and the screenshorts of more levels were of earlier development but we may add more maps in the future that could be cool.

really cool game stayed building turrets on the front door for like 30 minutes, just a question is there an end? or is it infinte? really good good game, this truly have potential!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

That happen to me once as well where is just keep building turrets all over the map lol, Currently there is no end but we have plans on making waves.

Submitted(+1)

Has potential. I think I placed the turret to early the first time around because the helper text by the drill immediately switched to info about turrets and then wouldn't progress further until I had enough crystals to upgrade (which I didn't)

Particle effects and lighting are nice. Animations play a bit too slowly for my taste, and the shooting could be a bit punchier.

Gives off TF2 engineer vibes.

Nice job!

Glad you liked it, The tutorial was unfortianly a bit rushed but thanks for you feedback!
