and I always thought the “little prince” (a reference to a very good book) has super powers.

Cool entry and I enjoyed it! The visuals are great as well. Good job!

Developer

thanks

Nice entry! Personally I think some UI elements for showing things like dash cooldown, or instructions for initial controls could have helped me a lot in picking up the game faster. But besides that I enjoyed it, I liked that the enemies had variability to figure out in their attack patterns.

Developer

Thanks a lot ! I had planned to show all that, but without ui, like a blink when the dash is up back !

Yes a tutorial for movement could have helped picking up the game faster, I'll look into that next time !

I was able to kill a couple of enemies, but I did get stuck at the bottom of a cliff I couldn't jump over. I tried double jumping but it still didn't seem to reach. Overall though, great game, great job!

Developer

That's because you can't  ! You must take the second path :)

I think that what is missing most is some feedback, like a health bar in the enemies or something. Despite that, it's a nice game, congrats. I managed to reach the pillar in the second try. :)

Thanks ! I know there is a lot missing but i'll do better next jam !

Well said! :D

Developer

I would've wanted to implement blood on enemies, as for the screen blood for the player !

The screen blood for the player was well done. I tried to kill the monsters, but couldn't do it, so I thought it was impossible and run from them. Later I saw the comments here with you telling they have a very high HP. In a case like that, maybe a simple progressBar from Godot would show the player that they can indeed be killed. But gamejams are like that, a lot to do in a very short time, sometimes not everything ends up working out. :)

Developer

thanks !

I was also unable to kill the mobs. Still impressive for the jam entry. Well done!

Developer

Thanks !

nice, you did a good job! I couldn't defeat any of the enemies, though... or should I just try to outrun them?

Developer

you could try to outrun them, they have a bunch of health and they attack depending on whats available to them. they have 2 patterns, chase you and slash, or run away and cast a spell at distance.
Once they slash, be sure to attack them while there cooldown is out,
you can hit them with a whole combo pattern (3 fast successive attacks) then back off until they slash again, just try to move and see what they do :)

Also when you hit a whole combo you have some more time before you can start a new combo again
And of course, final combo attack deals more damages

Thanks for your appreciation, I've given all my hours from thoses past days into  it, I'm still sad because the artist and the sound guys run out so I couldn't polish it as I've planned !
