This was a ton of fun. Definitely took me back. Definitely wasn’t expecting all the options and weapons that were available and them also a boss fight.

A very nicely polished submission. Excellent work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Designing the weapons was so fun, I had 3 or 4 more in mind if I hadn't spent so much time working on the enemies!

Submitted(+1)

This felt very complete. I didn't expect a boss fight too! Good job

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Fun game with cool mechanics! Nice that it had controller and keyboard support!

Submitted(+1)

nice game, the 3d models are great but I remember them from asset packs (kenney? synty?) and would be great if you proper credit/reference all external used assets!

the game went pretty nice with the controls and shooting mechanic. The car driving was fun. The sound was sometimes a bit too load in the ears but beside that very great! making AI was def. a challenge and went pretty nice imo. Well done team, keep it up!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I blanketly credited them in game with something like "3D assets by Kenney and Synty," but I could have listed each asset out individually. I'll do that next time, thank you for pointing that out!

Submitted(+1)

ah I was blind. I often expect them somehow also on the itch.io page! but great you pointed it out. Still very nice what you made out of them. thats great!

Submitted(+1)

Fun fun fun and more fun.  Great weapons, great models, great game.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Wow! Awesome job for your first 3D game. The car models were awesome! The driving felt pretty good, and I really liked shooting missiles. Great job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing! I really enjoyed those models too. I picked them up on a humble bundle a while ago and decided it was time to dust them off and practice 3D. Intimidating for sure, but well worth it!

Really cool concept, amazing 3D models, and good music. I would love a track mode with all the mechanics where you can shoot other cars. Sadly it was a bit laggy when I press fire weapon (I'm using Chrome Mac M2). Overall it's a very impressive entry!

Developer

I really wanted to include a sort of sandbox level as a tutorial or practice mode, but I ran out of time :( thanks for playing!

Super cool and shockingly polished.

I was terrible at it, even on easy, but I still had quite a bit of fun. Hard for me to say whether the difficulty needed more balancing, or if it was just me, haha.

Overall, amazing work. Doesn't even feel like a jam game to be honest.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It's definitely hard, the easy mode basically allows the healing to respond and the enemies have a lesser load out, but they're still aggressive. I'd have liked to add a damage multiplier for easy mode so they'd die more easily, but ran out of time. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!

Your team did a great job, I was really impressed with how polished the 3D was considering the short dev time. I wish I got to see more, but the game was really difficult for me even on Easy difficulty. I did get one key though!

Also I played on Safari. No issues!

Developer (1 edit)

thanks for giving it a shot! The easy mode is still hard with so many enemies, I got a bit carried away 😅. The 3D models were Synty and Kenney assets so I could focus on features instead of art

Very impressive game in terms of scope and result.  With how good the game was until that point, I was pleasantly surprised that there's still a boss stage.

I really liked the art and gameplay. I managed to beat the game with one death on easy difficulty :).

I played on Firefox with keyboard and didn't have any issues - game ran fine and the controls were comfortable.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Relying on some assets for the 3D models really let me cram all the features I wanted to in the short timeframe (although admittedly, I still had to cut some!) It was super fun to make!

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, I felt a bit overwhelmed when the AI decided to gang up on me for coming too close but all in all good job

Developer

Did you make it to the boss by chance? There's a guest cameo :)

Submitted(+1)

it was a surprise finishing the game and read in the description that it was actually inspired by twisted metal! really fun experience, i want to play more of this

Developer

So glad you enjoyed it!

Fun game! The boss battle and cutscenes were sweet. Great entry!

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Good game! It reminded me of Carmageddon in some ways. The music was really on point. I did not have problems with the keys, but I think the machine gun should have had more effects to make it feel more impactful. Nice work nonetheless!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Nice entry, it did get a bit laggy from time to time.

As other mentioned, never found any keys. Was also not sure if the machine gun was working it would always fire above the other cars.

Developer

Thanks for playing! i tried to avoid the lag but the little loading screen i put in didnt seem to help with it :(. The keys are dropped by cars after you kill them and show up as yellow dots on the mini map. Out of curiosity, what browser did you use?

Submitted

I did go with firefox, even after your recommendation haha

Sorry, won't install chrome to play. Maybe give it a try on firefox on the next jam?

Submitted(+1)

Really nice polished game ! I liked the graphic style and the music is a BANGER.

As mention by over people, I was sometimes kind of stuck and targeted bu 3 AI without being able to do much. But this is a really impressive jam game overall, to pull this out in 10 days is amazing.

Developer

Thanks! My music guy did a phenomenal job, especially since he implemented the layering system that applied new music after each kill.

Submitted(+1)

This is a very polished experience and I am impressed with it overall.

I found the cars a bit difficult to control for this kind of game. I know realism was the goal here, but often me and the AI would be locked turning in circles trying to hit each other. If I were to move out of the way, the AI would instantly bombard me with attacks before I have the chance to turn and attack them. Or, I would just run around and try to hit enemies which just zoom around and I cannot really pursue a target without getting attacked from random directions.

Otherwise, solid game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The AI gets to be pretty aggressive when multiple enemies attack you, which I definitely borrowed from Twisted Metal's approach haha. Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

That's amazing for a 10 day jam. Was super fun. I never ended up finding any keys though it was still fun.

Submitted(+1)

Fantastic entry! Well done.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Amazing effort for a jam game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! It was much more ambitious of a project than I realized at first. I'm happy how it turned out!
