SFX here are pretty good and the reload animation is very stylish. This was really fun and I enjoyed the NES look the game has going.
Like others mentioned, the detection was a bit weird at times but besides that everything seemed to be working well.
Great job!
It was short but fun! I really like the reload animation and SFX for reloading and shooting. Clicking multiple times for shooting is also very satisfying. One thing I think would be great for scaling is to change the reload time. For example silver bullets will take longer to reload since they are the most power bullets and so on. Another thing I think would be great is using an aim reticle graphic for the mouse cursor since it was a bit awkward aiming with the default cursor.
Hey! Those are great ideas, I always love little details like those when I see them! It's been really helpful getting feedback from you guys, I can definitely think of a lot of ways I could make something like this a little less clunky next time. Thanks again for playing :D
Suits the theme very well, and liked some of the little details (signs) in game, overall played well and kept me entertained. Good work!
Very cool game!! You had me at "Nameless Protagonist and Steve, their gun" XD Really nice take on the theme and fun to play throughout exploring every corner shooting bots! Steve's animation and revolver feel was on point and emptying his chamber, if you will, was very satisfying. I also loved the music, those trumpets are just perfect.
Really nice work once again!!
Hey, thanks so much for the review!! These jams have been a ton of fun so far and it's awesome seeing how the community supports each other. I'm glad you liked the music, that means a lot coming from a music pro like yourself :D Thanks again for playing!!
Cute quirky graphics, overall pretty professional, and I liked the music.
Maybe I overlooked it but there should be another wary to get more bullets as I had a hard time shooting robots when they were on an edge. It also took me a while to find the smithy so maybe that could stand out more!
Fun little game. I agree with others the humor was a really nice touch. Nice work!
Love the "Fallout" vibes! This game is bad for me cause im a hoarder, I couldnt stop myself from hoarding up on rubber bullets before i set off. Really good idea to make the forge a separate "room"! My favourite sign was "Useless room, made you look" :D
Like others, I also found detection a bit wonky (but not a big deal). Might have been intended for enemies to have an i-frame when they just got hit, but I wasted some bullets shooting through those frames!
Quick fun. I found that i could just keep going in and out of the smithy to get the free scraps and make enough bullets
Nice, fun game! Shooting felt 'thumpy' in a good way.
Very enjoyable game, despite the simple graphics and gameplay it was a lot of fun.
The silly humor was definitely a big plus, more levels would have be great... maybe a sequel?
A juicy, fun, top-down shooter. I noticed sometimes hit detection could be a little wonky, but overall I played through to the end smiling. I love the writing, and the audio was pleasing. Great work, I had fun playing!
Thanks for the feedback! Hitbox systems are hard xD I feel like I learned a lot about what I could do better next time, though. They're definitely important to get right!
Thanks for playing to the end, that's epic! Really glad you enjoyed it :D
