Gambarannya keren, mbak!
makasih bang!!
I really liked the graphics you did for the game and the music choice was rally nice and added a lot of atmosphere.
The main gameplay mechanic of cutting hair was fun but I did want to know how much hair I cut in the end to see how I did.
Additionally I had a lot of trouble with the collisions. I kept getting stuck on the women when I got too close.
Finally I found the controls to be a bit unintuitive. I did not initially try to click on the women to cut the hair so a popup that explained to do that or something in the description would have been nice. The arrow keys were not what I am used to and having wasd as a secondary option would have been nice as I was using a mouse which was uncomfortable with my left hand on the arrows. Maybe add a way to change the controls. It would really help.
Other then that though great game!! It was really fun and I loved the idea behind it.
I see.. I actually have tried to add a scoring system to show how much hair the player has cut but i cant really figure it out even on the last day. So because of it, i ended up no t adding the hair score stuff. I might try again in the future tho.
I also did find trouble with the collisions but forgot to fix it after the play test because i am running out of the free time i had that i can be using to make the game. I also think this mistake really impact the game by alot. I think If i had more i time i couldve fixed it.
And yes! I do agree that there should be an option to use the wasd control. Using arrowkeys as the movement control did make the game a little harder especially because most of players use wasd in every single game they play. I really forgot to add wasd until the last minute.. because of it, i ended up not adding the feature in aswell D:
im glad you enjoyed the game though! Thank you for playing and giving feedback to the game. It means alot! I really appreciate it.
I thought the cutting hairs by clicking was good. I wonder if clearer win and lose outcomes of some kind could help improve this particular game. Overall, nice job on it though!
Thanks! i also think clearer win and lose outcome would improve the game by alot!! i might add it in the future. thanks for the feedback :D
Great little concept! Loved the way it tied into the folklore theme.
Core gameplay to me felt a little barebones, but that's ok! Still a fun experience feeling like I'm skulking about in the night. The little intro was really well-done!
Great job!
I see.. Thank you for playing and giving feedback! Im glad you liked it.
This was so thematic, i loved it. Also the intro cinematic was just perfect.
Controls were clear and hada a lot of fun playing!
Wow. Im glad you enjoyed the game! thank you for playing
Fits the theme really well. I like the individual sprite art but I think it is a bit jarring that the art style isn't consistent between sprites e.g. the samurais and Kamikiri sprites look different to the women sprites and the housing texture. Neat little game though, always cool to learn about different folktales, I think your intro did a really good job of giving a brief overview of the lore without being excessive.
i see.. Thank you so much for your feedback!! I will be using it to improve the game after the jam ends.
Amaze Gaem
thank you :D
Nice game, Required some memorization and planning to cut as much.
I get stuck sometimes though so I have to strat on that as well lol. The low field of view like the guy mentioned below, it's unforgiving, jump scared me 2 times, needs some luck at first to not get hit but you'll remember eventually.
Are there only 10 women in the map? Is there a winning screen?
the field is made low on purpose considering its night and kamikiri is a small creature. But i guess it could also be improved because i also got jumpscared many times during the playtest xd
I think you might get stuck in the small room with bed inside. i might have forgotten to fix it before exporting the game.
The women in the map is only around 10 or more because the game is set in a small town (+ i cant find a way to make them keep on spawning).
Also no winning screen So basically kamikiri will just cut more hair everynight before morning comes. Making more and more kamikiri incident eveywhere. But i think adding a winning screen would make the game more fun to be played. I will make sure to add it in the future.
Thank you for the feedback!
Good idea, nice intro and menu, but the gameplay was quite immediately frustrating due to really bad collision detection with walls and extremely low field of view (because you can't really see the samurai until they fly right into you). I got permanently stuck very easily.
i see.. I think i forgot to fix the collision detection. Thank you for the feedback i really appriciate it. I will use it to improve the game in the future
It was fun running around and cutting hair :)
The outside samurai doesn't skip leg day.
haha so true xd he never stops running..
Im glad you enjoyed it!
