Very simple, but fun! Maybe a bit too challenging with the length of time and the speed of the player/bullets, but a lot was accomplished with this project!

Developer

Thank you :D it was a lot of work and a fun experience!

Incredible work, we've always wanted to play as the house!

Developer(+1)

It is sorely lacking in today's gaming economy.

Cool game, enjoyed it quite a bit, the sound effects and music are awesome, but has some quite (big) issues.

Of the minor issues is difficulty, I didn't really understood how to survive long enough, but that's probably me having skill issues :D

Now, resolution. It seems like the game was designed for high resolution and trying to run it on lower resolution displays (which I have) has big issues. Nothing in the game scales, the UI and things would just go out of the screen. If left untouched, the game doesn't fit on my screen so I have to scroll the page? You should really work on that. That's a big red flag for me.

Other than that, apart from buggy volume sliders in main menu, everything is great. But resolution thing is a thing that you should really take in consideration, especially when designing your future games, and maybe the game that you now supposedly have in development. Have good day!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you had a mostly enjoyable experience.

Not to excuse myself, but I agree - I was so upset at the resolution. I had a ton of problems uploading the project to the web and found out it was because I renamed the project and had to delete the godot folder and regenerate it. I spent 4+ hours changing settings in the project and reuploading and praying.

After I finally got it working, and uploaded the project... I noticed it... and didn't know if I could make any changes since I "submitted the project" and the discord was moving a bit too fast for me and another user to get an answer if we could modify our projects if it was "submitted". I'm still scared to change anything on the descriptions lol.

But I definitely hear you and have plans on making some changes to the resolution so things scale properly, volume sliders, and noticeable feedback that the portals are damageable to help with the difficulty! Even if nobody plays it after the jam, I want to make it an enjoyable experience to anyone who may check it out in the future.

The sound effects, voiceover, and music were absolutely golden. The sound when you shot an egg *cracked* me up (I'm not sorry), and I'm thankful the music continues after you die so I could just jam out to it. The gameplay was easy to get the hang of while still not becoming too trivial, and as someone playing on a laptop with a trackbad, the ability to rebind shooting was absolutely appreciated! For a game you had to start partway through and working on your own (and I daresay even without taking those factors into consideration), this is an absolute gem of a game.

I liked how the faries moved around, providing the player with some challenge leading their shots, and I would have enjoyed seeing that leaned into more with some variety in enemies or shots. For example, having some fairies with different movement paths, or being able to perform a different kind of shot with two eggs along the diagonals could be a cool way to add difficulty and depth to the gameplay besides swarming the board.

Overall, a fun, lighthearted entry that was a pleasure to experience, with just the right amount of silliness :)

Wow, I really appreciate the kind words!

The music took a full day to learn how DAWs work and then a lot of time figuring out how to actually... do the music. It was definitely the most challenging part and I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I also had originally planned on turning off the music when you died or won but... I liked it too much and wanted to keep it in, haha.

The key bindings were such a challenge! I had to eventually break down and watch a tutorial on how to achieve it after messing up for a while. I'm glad you

More enemies, power-ups, and shot variety were the tops things I really wanted to achieve before the deadline, but ran out of time sadly.

Again, I really appreciate the kind words and I'm glad you had fun :)

Thank you so much :D

The sound effects are very fun haha, the idea is simple but it works well. Perhaps the controls lacked polish, since it becomes quite difficult to last 3 minutes.

but otherwise, Nice work :D

Developer

I really appreciate it! :D

I had a lot of fun with the sounds lol

Well done! The game was a bit difficult, I do not think he will ever gets its breakfast. Loved the voice acting and music!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

You actually give him breakfast every time you don't win!

The fae are definitely a bit too sneaky right now and I have plans on buffing the Baba Yaga after the jam. :)

Nice Art and Cool Audio, it is difficult, the character is slow and needs precise aiming, the fairies wiggle too ~. ~

the only problem is the resolution, I also suggest the character to get faster for some time if it hit a fairy

Developer

Oooh nice suggestion!

Thank you :) I'll make the change after the voting period!

The voice acting haha, so good! Fun little game, but as others have already stated it is quite difficult. Going solo is tough in game jams but you did well! Nice work!

Developer

Thank you ^_^

I wanted to put the pressure on and force myself to make the art and music since I usually only do the programming. It was a very enjoyable learning experience!

Hahahaha, I loved the voice acting! The music was also great!

Developer

Thank you so much! It's rare I get to put my "vocal range" into use. :P I had a lot of fun making the music too!

Wild game! Cool intro with the voice acting, fever dream style and the tune was a banger. Sadly though even after a couple tries, Oberon's breakfast remained questionable. Nice one!

Developer

Haha, yeah, I really should have made a difficulty setting. Thank you for playing :D

Dude the Music was TOP. Actually made this one of the  10%  games this jam or recount

Developer

I really appreciate it <3

It was a lot of fun making the music!

I really liked the voice acting. I didn't quite make it to the end sadly, too hard.

Developer

Yeah, I wanted to make an easy mode but ran out of time :(

You really have to focus killing the portals to win.
